The way the posts are line up you can see, by way of e-mail, who is responding to your post but for the rest you can't see who is responding to who. Can't the posts be lined up in a threated way so that we can follow a conversation.
*caramel* - i'm a member of another website that added the 'threaded' option - turns out nobody used it after sampling it. the programmers there are more than a little peeved.
errrrrrrrrr, please don't threat me! i'm just a little deerhuahua
psssssst, i've disabled all email interaction with this site, so i guess i'll never know who's responding to me.
I'm also a member
Of another message board, there they have four options : thread, flat, line and nest. I use nest, which means that I see all the posts but they are line up in a way to see who responded to who.
Here I find it hard to follow a conversation when you don't know to who the response is addressed too.
*caramel*- One of the things that I would like to stress to people is to direct their response to the person to whom they are responding. Unfortunately, many people don't do that, and often I don't have the foggiest idea what the person is talking about.
I have stopped E Mails. I access threads through "View posts since your last visit". Then I scroll down and check out the threads of which I have an interest.
I was just going to tell you the same thing that Phoenix did. I always address my responses to the person that I'm responding too.
yup to Phoenix and gezzy! It's the easiest way for quick access.
I looed at some code a fellow developer wrote to make this forum threaded. I personally hate threaded view but if it's posible to add this as an option I will.'
But don't hold your breath. If I do it it will be at considerable cost in terms of time and I doubt that there will be more than 3 members who use it. It is, therefore, a low priority for me.
