Tommy Robinson contempt of court hearing over Facebook video delayed
Quote:
A preliminary hearing for Robinson’s case was due to take place at the High Court in London on 22 March, but the court confirmed on Tuesday that the case would not be heard until sometime after 3 May.

Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, complained about the delay in a YouTube video and appealed for donations for legal costs.

But The Independent understands that Robinson's own lawyers requested the postponement from the High Court, saying more time was required to prepare evidence.

A spokeswoman for the Attorney General’s office said Robinson’s lawyers had requested that the hearing be postponed.

No positives in Islam for this infidel. Again, what are the positives in Islam for the non-Muslim? I guess no one knows of any.

@Walter Hinteler,
UK to start issuing far-right terrorism alerts
Quote:
White supremacist attacks pose increasing threat, believe counter-terrorism chiefs

The UK is to start issuing official threat-level warnings for far-right terrorism amid rising concerns about white supremacist murder attempts, the Guardian has learned.

The threat levels will be issued following assessments by the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC), an elite Whitehall unit that already produces similar warnings for Islamist and Ireland-related terror.

Friday’s attacks in Christchurch, New Zealand, when 50 Muslims were murdered as they prayed, allegedly by a white supremacist gunman, have triggered fresh concerns about whether the threat from the extreme right is being taken seriously enough.

Combating far-right violence was once the responsibility of the police but top-level plots and suspects are now being tackled by Britain’s domestic intelligence agency, MI5. Public order issues and hate crime will remain with the police, and JTAC’s formal assessment of the far-right threat is expected to start this year.

There have been 18 terrorist plots thwarted in the UK since March 2017, 14 of which were inspired by Islamist extremism, assessed as much the greater threat, and four emanated from the far right.

However, counter-terrorism officials believe white supremacist terrorism is an increasing threat. The stabbing of a teenager in Stanwell on Saturday is being treated as an alleged far-right terror attack and a 50-year-old suspect remains in custody on suspicion of attempted murder. Other incidents have been reported since the Christchurch attack, including online gloating.

On Tuesday, Theresa May’s official spokesman said: “The incident which took place in Surrey on Saturday evening fitted a pattern of concern that the threat from the far right is on the rise.

“The prime minister said there could be no place for vile extremist views in society and people must be able to practise their faith without fear.

“She said that intensive work was taking place across government and by the police and security services to combat the threat.”

In 2017/18 of the 394 individuals who received support from the Channel program to counter potential violent extremism, 45% were referred for concerns related to Islamist extremism and 44% for concerns related to rightwing extremism.

That will make sure they all hit the news. Some other stories do not get to far. The UK has a terror, non assimilation by design, and active political parties trying to install Sharia. This is a distraction from Islamism and Brexit. They have serious problems, right wing terrorism is not one of them.

Leader of Nigel Farage's party resigns over anti-Islam messages
Quote:
The leader of the new pro-Brexit party backed by Nigel Farage has abruptly resigned, after the Guardian asked her about a series of deleted anti-Islam Twitter messages sent from her account before she took on the role.

Catherine Blaiklock, the leader of the Brexit party, repeatedly retweeted posts from far-right figures as well as sending her own messages. Among the messages she shared was one by Mark Collett, a former British National party (BNP) activist, referring to “white genocide”.

The term is often used in extreme rightwing and racist online activism of the sort seen as having inspired the terrorist who killed 50 people last week at mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand.

There are plenty of reasons for being anti-Islam. One of those things could be that there is nothing positive in Islam for the non-Muslim. I have asked people to name one and they come up empty.

Pressure from people who have already submitted means nothing but those people ignore the truth and have doomed their country.

Woman entered 'Miss Hitler' contest to gain female recruits
Quote:
A neo-Nazi terror suspect entered a “Miss Hitler” beauty contest in a bid to recruit female members to a far-right extremist group, a court has heard.

Alice Cutter, 22, is alleged to have won the National Action competition using the nickname Buchenwald princess, in reference to the Nazi death camp.

Cutter is standing trial alongside her partner, Mark Jones, who is accused of posing for a photograph while giving a Nazi salute in Buchenwald’s execution room in Germany.

Jones, 24, and Cutter, of Sowerby Bridge near Halifax, deny being members of National Action between December 2016 and September 2017.

Two other men, Garry Jack, 23, of Shard End in Birmingham, and 18-year-old Connor Scothern, of Nottingham, deny being members of the group between the same dates.

@Walter Hinteler,
That's not all he has to deal with right now. He's trying to evoke the spirit of the Jarrow march by charging his supporters £50 a head to march with him from Sunderland to London. It's been beset with problems from the off. Adam Hills, knowing that Farage is highly unlikely to walk the full length, is sponsoring him £10 for every mile he doesn't walk. The money will be given to a charity supporting asylum seekers because Farage hates that.

And now there's Doncaster.

Quote:
A protest group has said Nigel Farage is not welcome in Doncaster as his pro-Brexit Leave Means Leave march prepares to hit the town tomorrow. The former UKIP leader’s 270-mile, two week long protest is due to arrive in Doncaster on Thursday and Friday – although it is not thought he will be involved in the march as it heads into town.

But campaign group DN4ALL has called for Mr Farage’s march to stay away from Doncaster, calling him a “Trump wannabe’ who ‘stokes hatred and division.”

Exact details of the march route through Doncaster have not been disclosed but tomorrow’s route will travel from Nostell near Wakefield into Doncaster while on Friday it will travel from Wadworth to Worksop.

The march has been met by several pro-Remain protests along the route.A DN4ALL spokesman said: “Doncaster can do without Farage.“Nigel Farage claims to represent the views of places like Doncaster and the spirit of the Jarrow March, but he has no answers to the problems facing Doncaster or any other town ravaged by austerity.

“The people of Doncaster and Jarrow want the same thing - the best possible opportunities for their families and their community. This is true regardless of culture, faith or opinion about Brexit. “

Farage is a Trump wannabee who tries to divide us while making himself ‘popular’.

“He pretends to be a man of the people but stands for everything the desperate people of Jarrow marched against.

“He is the son of a wealthy stockbroker who was gifted a job in the City of London as a commodities broker.

“He was an admirer of Enoch Powel and Margaret Thatcher, and was active in the Conservative party that wrecked Doncaster, closing down our pits and factories and offering nothing to replace them.

“In Doncaster we intend to celebrate what unites us rather than letting the likes of Farage divide us.“Farage supports the relentless cuts to services such as the NHS and education that destroys lives and takes away our opportunities.

“Remain or leave, most of us agree that society should be fairer, that people should try to live in harmony, and that we should have the freedom to live our lives as we want to.

“Political debate is good and differences of opinion are crucial to democracy, but Farage is just attempting to exploit hard-working and diverse communities like Doncaster and spin his own ultra-Tory agenda.

“Farage has been all too happy to build his political career by exploiting racist division, and in the wake of the New Zealand tragedy we need to stand against Islamophobia and racism of all kinds.

“Politicians who stoke hatred and division to build their careers are not welcome in Doncaster.”

The march, which set off from Sunderland on Saturday, is due to arrive in London on March 29 – the date Britain is scheduled to leave the EU for a mass rally at Westminster.

Imans can stoke hate and division. I do not see any difference, or at least not enough to make a valid argument.

But while you are here, what is a positive in Islam for the non-Muslim?

Five mosques in Birmingham have been targeted in a string of violent attacks overnight and into the morning.

Reports of a man smashing windows with a sledgehammer on Birchfield Road were received at 02:30 GMT, police said.

Officers were then alerted to a similar attack in Erdington about 45 minutes later, with more in Aston and Perry Barr reported. Another on Albert Road was struck at 10:00 GMT.

West Midlands Police said it was yet to establish a motive.

Officers from its Counter Terrorism Unit were investigating, the force said.

Yousef Zaman, chairman of Masjid Faizul Islam mosque in Aston, said: "My initial reaction was shock that this had happened.

"There's a fear factor now in that adults are saying they're going to keep their children away from the mosque today because they're worried that it's not safe.

"But we're not going to stop worship, we're going to carry on as normal, we won't let them win, we will defy them."

He said a summit was planned to discuss security around the mosques.

A spokesperson for Witton Islamic Centre on Witton Road, also in Aston, said CCTV captures a man smashing windows at about 01:30.

"The whole of the front windows, about six, were smashed," he said.

"Because of the force he used it's gone through the windows and into the mosque itself".

Councillor Majid Mahmood tweeted a video of the clean-up taking place at the centre.

Councillor John Cotton, cabinet member for social inclusion, community safety and equalities with Birmingham City Council, said he was "appalled" by the violence and was working with police to find those responsible.

He tweeted: "These thugs do not speak for Birmingham and will not divide us."

Chief Constable of West Midlands Police Dave Thompson said: "At the moment we don't know the motive for last night's attacks.

"What I can say is that the force and the Counter Terrorism Unit are working side-by-side to find whoever is responsible."

A statement from the Birmingham Council of Mosques said: "We were deeply horrified to hear a number of mosques were vandalised during the early hours of this morning.

"Birmingham's mosques are a place of worship, serenity and a source of peace and tranquillity. We are appalled by such acts of hate/terror."

Home Secretary Sajid Javid called the vandalism "deeply concerning and distressing", while MP for Birmingham Ladywood Shabana Mahmood said the attacks were "truly terrible".

Mr Thompson added: "Since the tragic events in Christchurch, New Zealand, officers and staff from West Midlands Police have been working closely with our faith partners across the region to offer reassurance and support at mosques, churches and places of prayer."

Broken windows are vandalism, not violence. What was the death toll from these crimes? This is a desperate attempt to make something as bad as Islam. You are out of luck, nothing is as bad as Islam.
