@glitterbag,
Thousands of Britons using extreme far-right online forums
Quote:
Analysis finds huge numbers of Britons using forums that spread extremist ideology

Thousands of Britons are regularly using online forums that espouse rightwing extremism, as experts say the UK is facing a new wave of anti-Muslim hatred.

An indicator of the evolving challenge is MI5’s recent move to wrest control over investigating far right plots that “cross the statutory threshold to be considered terrorism” from the police. The security services are currently investigating potential contact between the Christchurch gunman and UK rightwing extremists.
[...]
Sara Khan, the UK’s lead commissioner for countering extremism, has pointed to a fresh surge of UK-based far-right activists who she says are “organised, professional and actively attempting to recruit”.

Khan, who has visited 14 UK towns and cities as she prepares a report on extremism for the home secretary, said: “I have heard deep concern about the far right and its devastating impact on individuals, communities and our democracy.” A “frightening amount of legal extremist content online” was fuelling far-right activism, she added.

The security services, having placed the threat from rightwing extremist ideology alongside Islamist and Northern-Ireland related terrorism, have said they are investigating “very sharp high-end cases” in relation to the far right.

So far, though, they have not revealed how many of the 700 or so live terror plots and 20,000 individuals classified as “closed subjects of concern” – people who have previously been investigated and may pose a future threat – are related to rightwing extremism.

MI5 has said, however, that the volume of far-right cases is “absolutely dwarfed by the number of Islamist cases”.

The government’s latest assessment of efforts to counter terrorism sheds interesting light on the evolving far-right threat. It says that until 2014 extreme rightwing activity was confined to “small, established groups with an older membership, which promoted anti-immigration and white supremacist views but presented a very low risk to national security”.

Four extreme rightwing terror plots were foiled in the year to June 2018, fuelling disquiet over online forums and their ability to disseminate extremist ideology.

The death toll? Are they even close to Islamists? And is their hate any worse than the hate in the Koran and other Islamic literature or websites? I doubt it.

I did not need to read it to know that. And when I see an article that distracts from the serious issues to transfer blame and the hate of Islam to the Right I simply lose interest.

Let’s put the Christchurch terrorist attack into context

Quote:
But let me try to do what no member of the mainstream media will dare do. Let me use facts and figures to put the Christchurch murders into perspective:

Since the start of 2019, there have been about 355 terror attacks in 31 countries resulting in deaths. Of these 355 terror attacks, one was carried out by a right-wing extremist and the other 354 were carried out by faithful members of the religion of harmony and happiness.
The 354 terror attacks claimed by our most favouritest religion resulted in 1,956 deaths and a further 2,020 injuries. So, the death toll has been running at about 195 people a week since the start of this year.
The 1,956 deaths included about 130 Christians, 65 Hindus, 12 Buddhists and one Jew. The other 1,748 slaughtered in the last ten weeks by members of the religion of peace were all members of the religion of peace.

Counter terrorism police are investigating the suspected far-right inspired attack in which a man suffered non-fatal stab wounds.

The attack was on Saturday night in Stanwell, Surrey, where a man carrying a baseball bat and a knife was seen shouting racist comments.

A man aged 50 was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a racially-aggravated public order offence.

Counter terrorism police said it had the "hallmarks of a terror event".

The 19-year-old victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu, head of Counter Terrorism Policing, said: "Whilst this investigation is still in its infancy, it has hallmarks of a terror event, inspired by the far right, and therefore it has been declared a terrorism incident."

Categorising it this way allowed the force to "use all of the specialist capabilities available to establish the full circumstances", he said.

The investigation is being led by Counter Terrorism South East in collaboration with Surrey Police.

Mr Basu said: "Police are committed to tackling all forms of toxic extremist ideology, which has the potential to threaten public safety and security."

Local officers have been deployed to provide reassurance and protective security advice to communities, places of worship and businesses.

Police, including armed officers, were called to Viola Avenue and found several vehicles damaged.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to contact Surrey Police.

That means locking up all the white people they can. What other way is better to appear non-racist. That and ceding and making your cities into areas where Sharia is the law. It is almost past time to push back and it does not look that it is likely to happen.

So far right fantasies are not really going to hurt anything.

So all white people are inspired by the far right and do acts showing hallmarks of a terror event?
And when May's office wrote in a Tweet "Vile, hateful far-right extremism has no place in our society." they were referring just to non-white UK-citizens as being the British society? The Met's Counter Terrorism Policing is just a police force against white UK-citizens?

@Walter Hinteler,
Do you think it's an act, or is he really that disconnected from reality.

He'd get locked up alright if he was over here, not by the police, but sectioned by the NHS.

He really should avoid coming over here, he's probably got a 'section on arrival' notice placed on him. I'm glad those are something we'll be keeping after Brexit.
