Choose the correct letter from each clue in the rhyme below. When put in order, the five letters will spell the answer to the riddle.
My first is in cut but not in hate.
My second in live but not in bait.
My third in use but not in pan.
My fourth in same but not in man.
My fifth in stop but not in mind.
My whole, detectives need to find.
