My little sister asked me to speak at her school's career day. Panic attack set in. I had to drop out of high school to take care of her. Now I'm a sex worker along with other jobs to pay bills and things. She has no idea and I don't want her to know. Any suggestion on getting out of this? The teacher thought it would be good for me to talk too.
@JessieSweetz,
My suggestion is to say 'No', with no reason given.
Just an opinion, but I think your sister's teacher is a moron.

which of your jobs does the teacher think you'll be talking about?
@ehBeth,
she has no idea I hook. She thinks I'm in school, do dog walking and sometimes clean houses and how I do all that and take care of my sister.
@roger,
the teacher has no idea I do that.
Just decline for personal reasons. No need to explain. She can find someone else.

ok - so she wants you to talk about the things she knows you do
you can either do that or decline because you're too busy with all of your jobs
this is not a big deal
@PUNKEY,
I guess, I think I feel a bad cold starting, lol. But yeah, just say I would love to but.
Thanks
@ehBeth,
Good idea. I was so rattled that I just couldn't think of things. I will have to clean a house and walk some dogs, no way I can get out..Thank you
I might get the flu too, lol.
@JessieSweetz,
Instead of thinking up more lies, why not just say "No, I'm not interested."?
@chai2,
Because it means a lot to my little sister, I am interested, just not able to discuss what I do.
@JessieSweetz,
Well than, go ahead and make up lies to get out of it.
Your decision to overcomplicate.
There's really nothing else to say.
@chai2,
I was just sorta over reacting. I told her I will probably have to work and she was all, ok. I was stressed for nothing.
@JessieSweetz,
The next time this situation comes up be honest about your "legal" jobs. No one says you have to tell them that you are a Lady of the Evening, and it's highly doubtful that anyone is going to raise their hand and say "Didn't I see you standing on the corner of 1st and main last night dressed in skimpy clothes?"
