Trying to get some pigeons (official name: Rock Dove) off my country place I captured two and releeased them in a park thirty miles away. They were back at the country place in less than an hour. Now I see that all pigeons are "homing pideons".

A family of pigeons nests in an awning right outside my office window.

My God, they seem to be the most stupid, obnoxious birds. I don't wish them ill but I do wish they'd go elsewhere.

They also apparently intimidate the mourning doves, which also used to nest nearby, but no longer. I would trade pigeons for doves three-to-one if I could locate the market.
