I was collecting cans and he had like $5 in cans and he ran out and swore at me for like 5 minutes and tell me he was going to call the cops. I told him I was going to hurry up but he wouldn't give me a chance and let me finish. He almost slammed my hand in the barrel and put it in driveway.
Should have I called the cops and press assault charges? I researched and it's legal to take the cans as long it's on the curb.
Were you rummaging around in HIS garbage can? Or on his property?
Your city may have an ordinance against going on other people's property or picking through garbage.

It was on the curb. I never had a Cop stop me and tell me it's illegal.
