A place in Edingburgh, The Lothians or Fife
You must cross a line to get there
Its in Royal company
but its not a home
A mounted city is in view
its not a letter its a place but thanks anyway

If you can submit an answer without it costing you anything try Edinburgh castle.
All ready tried that its a good answer answere but its not that thank anyway
The answer is probably, Holyrood Park/Palace.
From the top you can see The Lothians and Fife.
It is/has the Queens Royal palace. You can see Edinburgh Castle/city across the valley. You cross the rail line to get there.
