A mad scientist needs to conduct a strange experiment that only he really understands. He must fill a rectangular tank that measures 3 fathoms by 2 rods by 1/40 of a furlong. He fills it with a clear, odorless liquid with a density of about 3,678,675 grains per US hogshead.
How many kips of the substance does he require to fill the tank? Please round up to the nearest kip.
This looks like a homework problem to get you to do conversions.
If I were to do this problem (and I don't like to do other people's homework) I would first convert all the units to one system. I think I would convert everything to metric (just because this is readily available and I am familiar with it.
You can use google to find the conversions if you don't already have them.
As I said, I won't do the work for you, but I would be happy to give a hint, or tell you if you are going the right direction if you post a specific question.
i have the same proble and i have all the conversions except 1 ill give you them if you find out 1/40 of a furlong
if you find the anserw can you give it to me
please
homework???? try neopets...
First....no fibbing....you may find help comes your way a little easier. This isn't for your homework, is it? Its yet another lenny conundrum from neopets.com.
Come on....do a little work yourself. I figured out the problem using google for the conversions.....615....or was it 610...or was it 623...or maybe 6.....or ????
