This sounds great fun, Oz. Maybe a bit messy.

Although I have seen film of traditional tuna fishing in the Med where some of the fish were about eight or more feet long. Shocked

The Tuna used for tossing are frozen ones and weigh about 10kg. no one has to catch them Steve. Yes, McTag, the big ones come in at 6 to 8 feet and weigh upto 200kg!

Good morning cricket tragics. Looks like it could a wet farewell to Shane Warne at the MCG today.:

...A huge crowd is expected at the MCG today to witness the start of the fourth Ashes Test between Australia and England, but showers have delayed the toss and the forecast for day one of Shane Warne's MCG farewell is decidely ordinary.....

Yep, the weather's gone crazy here! Christmas Day, 2006. Surprised :

No, you're not dreaming … it's a white Christmas

http://www.theage.com.au/ffximage/2006/12/25/knSNOW_wideweb__470x315,2.jpg
On top of old Buller, CFA captain Carly Reudavey is flanked yesterday by fellow firefighters Andrew Kelly (left) and Luke Corbett - and showered with welcome, fire-fighting snow.

.... For three weeks, locals and firefighters have sat trapped, ringed by fire, alone and vulnerable at the top of Mount Buller.

Day after day, the bush burned in the valley below, the flames making charge after charge up the slopes, fanned by hot winds.

But then, at Christmas time, it happened. The winds eased, the prayed-for rains came, and the fire threat abated.

On Christmas Day itself, it snowed. A miracle. Lightly at first, but stronger as the day progressed, coating the mountaintop in an unseasonal white blanket. ... <cont>

Her beauty and her terror, with no regard for the timetable

Light fantastic ... an electrical storm over Customs House in Newcastle on Monday. The city has been swept by topsy-turvy weather all week.

IT WOULD be easy to think our weather has been turned upside down. Rain, bushfires, hail, heat, icy winds and even snow - NSW has had it all in the past month. ... <cont>

Can I have Alistair Cook for home?

I don't even care if he can cook, he's quite decorative, really!
Poms went down in a crumpled heap - and that oaf Warne got his 700 - and 4 more!

Hope all had a merry Christmas - and here comes the New Year!

I think The Age got it wrong. Last I knew Andy "spook" Kelly was captain of the Buller brigade.

You are complaining about being hot, what about me, 44 degrees beyond the black stump with brown snakes and redbacks to contend with as well. Smile
