I understand the security precaution, as this forum seems to gain a lot of members daily. The message that is dispalyed when trying to send one, however, isn't descriptive enough. How long is "a period of good standing during which they have been active members of the community?" Is it based on the number of posts one has (which would most likely promote spamming) or some other method?
Welcome to A2k kid. As I understand it there are variables involved . Number of posts and length of time are a couple. No one but the mods is really sure. Just relax and enjoy the forum and I'm sure you'll be PM'ing shortly
It varies. This is to prevent spammers from figuring out when they can spam through PMs. Welcome to A2K and, like panzade said, relax and enjoy. :-D
