1) Trivia & Word Games
2) Original Writing
3) Music & Lyrics, or maybe General
I always hit New Posts first, then Your Posts, then Your Topics. Rarely go to forums.

you wound me ms. buns...how do you know I don't talk to God every day? I do you know, and He talks back to me...he likes you..soft and fuzzy in appearance and yet terrible in countenance when pushed to wrath....you've got that God like thing going.... he says you are the only reason he hasn't brought a terrible plague on Australia...well, you and the fact that He's waiting for the new AC/DC box set DVD......why would He make all that up?
Er - we rabbits ARE a terrible plague upon Australia!
It is interesting to see what a different A2k we all inhabit!
I generally snoop around on the General forum when I'm snooping at all ... but'll look a bit here and there on other forums too. Kind of like a guy I know that cruises flea markets ... says he moseys in all on his lonesome and then just scatters out.
Ask for A2K directions on Mapquest?
Of course not.
Is A2K a fantasy world?
A Debbickle sighting, by god!!!
I also don't get to the threads by route of forums. I just scope through my posts and head over to new posts, but my favorite 3 would be General, Home Improvements, and Wilderness/Wildlife. Of course I stray all over the place, although I do my best to avoid politics and religion, which are very touchy subjects for a lot of folks and I really don't like to argue my opinions, especially when I know I'm right, lol.
General, Relationships, Politics.
General is where I do most of my posting. I don't know why I go to relationships... there are just so many strange problems people have I can't stay away. I mostly just read in Politics.
I also like reading the history fourm, Music, and every once in awhile art.
I never use the new posts/your posts buttons. I'm a Forum skimmer because I never know what I'm in the mood for on any particular day.
I'm with Jpin. General, relationships and politics. Perhaps religion every now and then.
First thing I do it check your posts, then new posts. Then go from there.
I am reminded of:
It was six men of Indostan
To learning much inclined,
Who went to see the Elephant
(Though all of them were blind),
That each by observation
Might satisfy his mind.
The First approached the Elephant,
And happening to fall
Against his broad and sturdy side,
At once began to bawl:
"God bless me! but the Elephant
Is very like a wall!"
The Second, feeling of the tusk
Cried, "Ho! what have we here,
So very round and smooth and sharp?
To me `tis mighty clear
This wonder of an Elephant
Is very like a spear!"
The Third approached the animal,
And happening to take
The squirming trunk within his hands,
Thus boldly up he spake:
"I see," quoth he, "the Elephant
Is very like a snake!"
The Fourth reached out an eager hand,
And felt about the knee:
"What most this wondrous beast is like
Is mighty plain," quoth he;
"'Tis clear enough the Elephant
Is very like a tree!"
The Fifth, who chanced to touch the ear,
Said: "E'en the blindest man
Can tell what this resembles most;
Deny the fact who can,
This marvel of an Elephant
Is very like a fan!"
The Sixth no sooner had begun
About the beast to grope,
Than, seizing on the swinging tail
That fell within his scope.
"I see," quoth he, "the Elephant
Is very like a rope!"
And so these men of Indostan
Disputed loud and long,
Each in his own opinion
Exceeding stiff and strong,
Though each was partly in the right,
And all were in the wrong!
Moral:
So oft in theologic wars,
The disputants, I ween,
Rail on in utter ignorance
Of what each other mean,
And prate about an Elephant
Not one of them has seen!
John Godfrey Saxe's ( 1816-1887) version of the famous Indian legend.
Except that here on A2K we've all seen the elephant.
First stop: "Other Languages" to see who wants what translated to Latin to be
tattooed on their tushie.
Second stop: "Unanswered," a chance to put the first footprints in the snow.
Last: "New Posts"
I try to avoid Philosophy and Debate (my epistomology can beat up your
epistomology), Religion (God doesn't want me to) and Politics (just lack that
killer instinct).
First: read my email updates & post back to the odd thread. This can take a while.
Next: New Posts. I must confess, these days, often I respond to the poster as much as the thread topic. Some posters always have interesting & stimulating stuff to share. I tend to avoid the "How big is your penis?"- type threads. Boring & monotonous.
Then: I often respond to a topic that's getting lots of responses, particularly if it's a subject that interests me.
Then: after reading a few online newspapers, I'll often post an article or cartoon comment to threads I've been following.
And I'm always interested in investigating any Oz threads, for obvious reasons.
i always check music first, and then general, and then wahtever catches my eye
