You Owe A Nothing,
But I owe thee
Owe Nothing no Nothing
But Nothing Owe me????

Not sure about the 3rd line, or the last, but the first and second seem to make sense!

Hey, Bizarre. We'd better not let our avatars get too friendly or else we may end up with a new baby avatar. Laughing

As for the riddle, I'm sorry but you're not right.

Are we meant to give clues?

No Tarah, not unless we are all well and truly stuck.

Tarah, as you are from the UK, it is probably some 'e'by gum' sort of speak. So, don't laugh at my offering but I more or less go along with Bizarre.

You owe A nothing

But I owes thee

Nil, zilch no nothing

But nobody owes me.

Tryagain, you've quite made my day. I come from London and don't speak at all "ee by gum".

Would it help if I said another word for a symbol like a circle is a Cypher?

Cor blimey, Tryagain, you sure were perceptive when came up with that username.

Yeah, mate, try again. Laughing

Seriously, it is a four line verse. If you want, I'll give you the first line.

"The night is tempestuous, but I know thee well; having promised, thou art come."

Something from Byron perchance?

You circle a sphere
But I encompass thee
Round orb no globe
But disk encase me

Getting there, Tryagain, but it's actually more prosaic.

It's all in the different ways of pronouncing "cypher"

I read this when I was a child in Ripley's Believe It Or Not. Don't know why, but I've never forgotten it.

This is driving me crazy(er)

Tarah, "Don't know why, but I've never forgotten it." Shocked

You sigh for a cipher,
but I sigh for thee.

O sigh for no cipher,
but O sigh for me.

Now, I've forgotten it already. Lol Laughing

Or O = love as in tennis.

You love a love

But I love thee

Love, love no love

But love, love me

How right you are, smorgs.

My mother came from Sheffield and used to "mash" the tea. I can say "De'rst know t'Wicker where t'watter runs t'ort t'were"

Only thing I'm missing is a whippet! Laughing
