Stop politicalizing my answers.

Homeless drug user has a gun and it gets fired, killing a woman.

He get acquitted on a murder charge.

He should have been charged with involuntary manslaughter.

Applying your train of thought to this scenario, a homeless drug user is a scumbag, and this along with the fact that he has a gun ensured that that woman got killed.

Homelessness and drug abuse and having a gun ensure that something violent will happen.

This holds as much water as your previous assertion.

@InfraBlue,
I think Punkey has a point.

If we had kicked all of the homeless people out of the US (or jailed them), this
"crime" never would have happened.

@PUNKEY,
I'm just responding to what you're saying. If you don't like what you hear stop doing it.

I hear lots of condemnation of the homeless and none whatsoever at the people who let him get hold of a gun in the first place.

Well, apparently none of you want this man to have any responsibility for his actions, so I will not participate any more in this thread.

@PUNKEY,
If you had a gun and it slipped and went off, accidentally killing someone, what would you expect of a jury?

@PUNKEY,
I think being tried in court is taking responsibility. What else do you expect him to do?

I'd like to find out more, but it will be very difficult to get an accurate, unclouded version from any of the US media, right, left or otherwise.

There really should be some process... let's say we could have 12 impartial people chosen by a process designed to prevent any conflicts of interest.

A jury of his peers found him not guilty. The fact that a bunch of outraged people on the internet found him guilty doesn't matter.

Unfortunately, these days, it does.

Trial by jury is so last century.
