Consider the speech already given "virtually".

We love ya, kiddo. Do the right thing, but don't forget to think, and take care of yourself.

And Seed ... I'm not sure if this is bothering you or not, but don't worry about the guy suing you. He had a gun so you had every right to use a high degree of force in the situation as you did.

Note: I'm not saying he won't sue you --I've no control over this dumbass -- I'm just saying you have a very good defense if he does. So I wouldn't lose any sleep about that.

Oh, Seed, you are not just an icky boy (from a previous post), you are my new hero - you are up there with superman.

Seriously though if he tried to sue, simply say he threatened your life or the store keeper's. I am sure the store keeper would have backed you up. Then you are simply defending yourself or the store keepers. You feared for your life or his, he was going to shoot you or him (which ever the would be the most believeable story). Sad that you have to make up lies because you helped some one out.

safe... not dead... yes i know you are thinking these things. but to me it makes me no better then the man commiting the crime.

The world today already has more then it can handle. Im just doing what i can to try and help improve what is a marred society

I agree with that 100 percent. It irks me to see people stand by and do nothing in troublesome situations because they're just plain afraid of the consequences. In 90 percent of these situations there's really nothing to be afraid of, as long as you know what you're doing (as you, obviously, did). I'm no hero and have never had the opportunity to face an armed felon, but I've been known to escort particularly obnoxious men off the subway car when they were intimidating other passengers, who sat with their noses in their newspapers, too scared to object. And, you know what? Those scumbags were far more scared of me than I needed to be of them. They don't know who I am. For all they know, I might be armed or an undercover cop.

Maybe after you let him leave the store he would have later killed your Uncle Ben who had helped raise you. Then you could have turned into Spiderman after realizing that you had the power to stop him but didn't... and being bitten by a radioactive spider, of course.

But seriously seed... very cool thing to do and very cool attitude to have. Job well done. If there were more people like you perhaps there would be less people like him.

Funny how the criminal becomes the victim,
As I believe Kicky put it so nicely bulls**t

A toast to seed.

Here's to seed, we love you.
We love you because you're good.
You made the right decision.
I wish to hell I could.

True story:

Our drummer's district manager walked into a motel lobby and saw a robbery in progress. He turned to run and was shot in the back. He never recovered. Soooo, let the jerk sue The National Guard. Evil or Very Mad

Here’s my story. I was in London and had just checked into a very inexpensive B&B with a friend of mine. I was looking out the window when I saw a fight break out. These men fighting were older and not very well built so the average man should not find them the least bit intimidating. I watched in horror as one man even older and frailer looking than the other was knocked down and the other man began kicking him in the head. I was shocked there were people walking all over outside and no one even stopped forget trying to even stop the fight.

I had to do something, but I was about 5 stories up. So I opened the door and screamed at him…saying “Leave him alone! Stop it! I just called the police!” Stuff like that. The man looked up at me and said “Piss Off.” This got my anger up. I called to the front desk and told them what was happening and said to call the police immediately. The woman at the desk did not want to get involved, luckily there were a couple of men there and they grabbed a phone and called the police. I proceeded to run down the stairs, but by the time I got there the fight had stopped. And some one helped the man into the building across the street. When the police arrived, no one wanted to speak with them. I was the only who did. The did eventually bring the man out of the building who was hurt, his head bleeding and hopefully to the hospital. I mean I was ready to jump in and stop him and I was at the time maybe 105 pounds (of twisted steel of course). It was probably a good thing I was several flights up.

You call that being a superhero?

The other day I was driving down the street, and in the opposite lane was a police car parked, with the radar on clocking cars. I made sure to flash everyone I passed so they'd slow down. I probably prevented at least one speeding ticket.

But seriously Seed, congrats...very stand-up what you did.
