I am doing an essay for my multicultural American literature class that involves interviewing someone from a different culture. There are 24 questions but only 15 of them need to be answered.

I am a Norwegian-American male who lives in Minnesota.

1. Tell me about your background (family, education, language).
2. What are some typical foods from your culture?
3. What holidays do you celebrate?
4. What is your culture’s traditional dress?
5. How does your culture view education?
6. What does your culture view “fun”?
7. How does your culture celebrate special occasions (weddings, funerals, births, stages of aging)?
8. What role does religion play in your culture?
9. How does your culture view nature and human interaction with nature?
10. How does your culture view the home and home life?
11. How does your culture view the roles of men, women, and children in the home?
12. How does your culture view gender role differences?

15. What constitutes success in your culture?
16. How is class and socio-economic status defined in your culture?
17. What is considered disrespectful in your culture?
