There are cultural differences in the way express humour, I know, but are those two anti-France, Panzade? Having a bit of a US snigger, and all ....? Particularly No 2.

Trudeau....goodness, nobody skewers as well in todays papers. He just keeps getting better. Jane Pauley must have something to do with it.

Actually, Letty isn't anti anything, and I am certain that panz isn't. I really can't speak for the rest of America, but all that anti French stuff began as a political thing. It's called propaganda

Panz, I posted Doonsbury because I saw somewhere that the strip was still going strong,(in spite of other kinds of bashing) and because I have been bored to torture by some counselors and lecturers.

Not overly fond of French poodles, however. Razz

Your eyesight is far superior to mine, ENDYMION. I missed the bibles & the koran, though not through want of some serious, fixed squinting following your post! Laughing BTW, "the dude on the left" is the Oz prime minister, John Howard, the most loyal friend JW has in the world! He's not called JW's "deputy sheriff" for nothing! Furthermore, he's my prime minsister! Oh, the humiliation, the mortification! Embarrassed Rolling Eyes Sad

Thanks, theprofessor! Very Happy
