Those two cartoons made me smile, grim story though it is. Nicholson works for the Australian. Leunig worls for the AGE, in Melbourne. They are talking to each other through their work! I think Nicholson's beat Leunig to the punch today. Love it!

Now I'm wondering if Leunig will retaliate, tomorrow. Hope so!

It's always intrigued & puzzled me, you know, why going to war & killing people (& getting a lot of your own killed off, too) is such a huge vote winner. But it works, it really does!

Ms.Olga:-
Sir Winston said something similar near the end so one might assume from that that there is no answer
because if he felt like you and Francis do after what he did where does one go.
But you are too young for that sort of thing.Take your education seriously.I mean "YOUR'S".

I'll give that some thought, spendius. But I think it's perfectly natural to reflect critically, to have some regrets ...... Apart from anything else, you can learn some important lessons for the rest of your life ....

I've been following Debra Law and Joe Nation's posts on the Kerry thread. They are two A2K ers I really admire and this cartoon describes why we're anxious.

Dammit, Vivien, it didn't appear! PLEASE try again, hey?
....And not all contributions to this thread have to be of a political nature .... This thread is called "The Meaning of Life", afterall. That's pretty broad!
