Lenny Conundrum
Ok folks, I could be totally off, but I think I might possibly have figured this one out.

The numbers we're given is:

Yellow Lenny: 1561
Brown Scorchio 6364

Now I looked at a variety of combinations for names colors etc till I found this by typing it into the search engine. All of these pets have TCG's. The numbers pulled up on the card descriptions for these two are:

Yellow Lenny: 1156
Brown Scorchio: 6436

if you move the second number to the end, you get the numbers we were given:

So if following that formula:

Red Krawk (TCG) = 10411 ... if change numbers: 10114
Green Tuskaninny (TCG)= 5437 or 5374
Blue Chomby (TCG) = 9123 or 9231

So adding 1156 + 6436 + 10114 + 5374 + 9231 = 32311

I may be totally off, so feel free to double check, but that was what I came up with.

I don't have many leads...

I looked for the roots of the two given scores.
6364 roots are: 2, 2, 37, 43

1561 roots are: 7, 223

I'm 98% sure that those are all prime numbers. I think we can conclude by the range of 2 to 223 that it's no product of numbers.

The only other lead I really have is that the Brown Scorchio scored slightly higher than 4 times what the Yellow Lenny scored (1591 is exactly one fourth of the Scorchio's score).

The poor lead that I followed was the fact that the lenny takes up a considerable less number of pixels than the Scorchio. It was a long shot, but I checked it out. It turned up slim though, since the Neopets images take up a pre-boundary space of 150 pixels by 150 pixels, totaling 22500 pixels in all. That's almost 3.5 times the Scorchio's score.

The final lead I followed lead me to the Sutek's Tomb high score table. That theory was cut short fast, as the minimum score is 45,716, and the highscore is 225,028.

I don't know if any of this will help anyone else, but it's just things I considered and found false. Maybe it will spark an idea in a reader to help find an answer, who know? I'm more or less out of ideas now, but I think my next stop is to look at date released and ages of the different colored Neopets, and maybe their population.

Okay, so my last post was a little late. But this one seems to nail the bullseye if you ask me.

My only comment is that you said that if you move the second number to the end you should get the new number. But for Red Krawk (10411) moving the second number to the end would yeild 14110, but you have it listed as 10114. Is the pattern to move the second number to the end, or to move the third to last number to the end?

Whoa.,..
Just realized I reversed my TCG & Actual numbers on two of those

Should be:

1561 + 6364 + 10114 + 5374 + 9231 = 32644

Oops - sorry my first time trying to solve one of these Smile

Well I moved the second number listed,

the numbers in order on the red krawk card was 10, 4, 1,1

so I left the 10 intact and moved the 4... that could be wrong, but I was moving second number listed on card... hmmm, not sure on that one

I originally tried listing the colors in a specific order (as each block on the card holding a number is a different color) but didn't get anywhere with that, so it's just a guess based on the evidence of those two that moving the second number is the right move. As I said, feel free to figure it out differently, the only thing I'm relatively sure about is that the answer is related to the TCG cards named after these pets.

Heh... Sorry for so many posts in a row... but I finally think I got it.
I understand what you mean by "their number" now. It's not their card number, but a listing of their stats!

On the card, the stats are:
Strengh, Aglility, Magic, Intelegence

The stats order for their score is:
Strength Magic Intelegence Agility

I'll check your math right now profsnapefan. Smile

I decided to keep my eyes off these numbers until I was done calculating them myself.
It wasn't until after I plugged them into the calculator that I compared my total to yours.
It was a perfect match. Great job Profsnapefan!!

Thanks so much for verifying my results, now I guess I'll just have to survive till next Thur to make sure NP's didn't pull a fast one on us Exclamation

Nope, you didn't screw up.

I feel a tad bit embarassed though because I read on the new features that a new Lenny Conundrum was up... and I went there and apparently I must have gone just about 30 seconds before a new one was posted. I got the old coded message, decoded it, and found the game, then went to send the answer and it said it was already over and I realized I jumped the gun and got to the page before the system uploaded the new one ^_^".

So yeah... I was trying to solve my second Conundrum here today. But I would never have thought to look at the TCG's! Again: Great Job Prof!

*blinks* You might wanna dust off a little bit...
And for the last few conundrums I've checked (maybe 3 out of the last 4?) there have always been enough to get the winners of the NP's down to just about 200. I think the one I won about 5 contests ago (I'll have to check the archive) earned me a whooping 217 neopoints!
Confused No. Please. You shouldn't have. Really Neopets... you shouldn't have...

Yeah, I got like 127 nps from the last one, or something like that. It's not really worth it if you don't get in the first. Am kinda hoping I got in on this one fast enough to be one of the first 200.....

The TCG thing was a total fluke, after about 10 mins of doing various letter/number combinations w/ their names, and then looking at stats, I typed "yellow lenny" into search engine, saw the TCG result and *click*

A Brown Scorchio, a Red Krawk, a Yellow Lenny, a Green Tuskaninny and a Blue Chomby were all playing Sutek's Tomb. The Lenny got 1561 points, and the Scorchio got 6364 points.

What was the sum of all of their scores

wierd.....
