Is this a year as in January first or a year as in when neopets started whatever day that was?

This one was relatively easy. The only thing I was unsure of was whether or not I should include leap days, but I ended up submitting my answer without including any leap days.

@spaceymom: I used January 1st as the starting date.

@vvktv,
Last weeks puzzle had to do with the first 2 letters of the games in the New Game Challenge.

The last set of letters was UGHAK, which corresponded to Ugga Drop, Hannah and the Wardrobe of Adventure, and Kookia, so the answer had to be OHAWR (Kookia, Hannah and the Kreludor Caves, and Wrath of the Snowager).

I was a little confused as to whether or not I should start fresh every new year as well.. I ended up solving it being 15.9 lbs/year (didn't bother shearing, cuz it really didn't matter if it was on the sheep or sheared off yet). After 6 years it was 95.4, after Feb. of the 7th year it was 99.4. After that I took the 1.2 in march divided by 31 days, and using a calculator added that till I was over 100... Took 16 days to get over 100, plus 31 in jan, and 28 in feb = 75 days of the 7th year, plus 365 (6) = 2190 + the 75 and my total answer was 2265... I hope that made sense the way I explained it... Anyways, its been over 24 hours so I figure no harm in posting answer, but would like to see if others went about it the same way

@Whohater,
The competition is still open, so posting your answer isn't a good idea...

@Whohater

Didn't you once get mad at ME for posting a FAKE answer that turned out to be the #1 submitted answer for that week? It was submitted more than the actual answer! Doesn't that prove how many people see this topic? It's the #1 topic on able2know, also!

My assumptions:
1. Growth rate is consistent within each month (a bit artificial, but the only way that makes sense to me to be able to calculate a number of days).
2. Problem starts from the beginning of 2011, so we need to worry about leap years in 2012 and 2016.
3. Since the growth rate is given in pounds per month, the Gnorbu somehow manage to grow their wool slightly more slowly in February of leap years.
4. The Gnorbu are freshly shorn at the beginning of 2011, but not necessarily at the beginning of any other year. In particular, we never lose any of the wool that grows on the Gnorbu.

So I get 4 digits, sum of 17.

@ wertyiu102 -- I'm not sure where you're going with your comment to me. I don't recall ever getting mad at anyone for posting a fake answer, or a real answer. Also never made any mention of how many people see/don't see this.

@everyone else -- I have not been on in awhile, due to a new computer, and lost my bookmarks. However, I only go on this site AFTER I submit my answer, to get a little more insight of how others solved it... I'm gonna assume others that are on here either do the same, or want to cheat. You don't go on here looking for answers, and then complain cuz you found them. I will always wait 24 hours out of courtesy, but after 24 hours, either you already submitted, or your going to lose anyway. I have forgotten the general rule on here is to submit the total of the digits, etc. as a way to compare answers. I'll try to do that from now on, but I don't feel in any way, I ruined it for anyone else. I probly had the wrong answer anyway, so let them cheat off me

@wertyiu102,
That was over a year ago... And I think the reason I said something was cuz it was on a wed. you wrote that, I think you should allow at least 24 hours for people to try to work it out on their own first... But my view has also changed in the fact that even if it was 5 mins. after it was released, if people don't wanna see the answers than they shouldn't be on this site, plain and simple
