@lennyfan,
Judging is closed, so the final answer:

Time t for it to hit the ground is square root of (45/4.9) = 3.0304576 s.
At 20 m/s, this means the Kookith goes 60.60915 m or 6061 cm (rounded to the nearest cm).

Prize this week was a Plushie Kookith Plushie.

1. The next word in this sentence: "If [Valrigard] doesn't move quickly, he'll ____..."

2. The number of games on Neopets that have the word "Caves" in the title.

3. From the 30th day of Sleeping from a year in the past: "...is out early! ____ in..."

Now, these three clues should somehow lead you to a single word. What is that word? Please spell the word correctly, regardless of what the clues indicate.

I'd say 4:04 is very fast. I don't even think I saw it by that point.

Finally - that third clue took me forever to find.

First clue - use Google to search the Neopedia (since the Neopedia and Neopets searches are so weak). That's relatively easy.

Second clue - search on the games page and count the games. Easy enough.

But for that third clue "From the 30th day of Sleeping from a year in the past", I kept thinking "from last year". Which meant the Neopian Times came out that day, so I slogged through all the articles, stories and even the comics looking for the text. It finally hit me this morning that "a year in the past" didn't necessarily mean the most recent year in the past and I finally found the answer in the New Features.

@lennyfan,
I didn't actually FIND what the third clue was referring to until today. I just got the first two and realized it was "tune in."

@willzi8,
Yes, I did about the same thing - submitted the response long before I actually found the third clue. I was really late this week, so no mask for me.

Summary of last week's answer (prize was a Pink Sleeping Wocky Mask):

1. The next word in this sentence: "If [Valrigard] doesn't move quickly, he'll ____..."

In the Escape From Meridell article in the Neopedia, the sentence is "If he doesn't move quickly, he'll miss his window, ...", so the key word is miss.

2. The number of games on Neopets that have the word "Caves" in the title.

Go to the games room and search for "Caves". Four games are found.

3. From the 30th day of Sleeping from a year in the past: "...is out early! ____ in..."

Sleeping is the Neopian equivalent of January. From the news for January 30, 2004, "The new issue of the Neopian Times is out early! Tune in for the latest comics, stories, articles and of course the Editorial!"

Put them together: miss four tune, which becomes the word misfortune.

In the Royal Neopian Neolodge, your nightly hotel price gets you a bedroom and a bathroom. Each room is perfectly square. If you take the length of one of the walls of the bedroom, and subtract the length of one of the walls of the bathroom, you'll find that the difference is 9 metres. Now, if you multiply the length of the bedroom wall by the length of the bathroom wall, you'll find that the product is 12 square metres.

What is the total area, in square metres, of the bedroom plus the bathroom? Round to the nearest whole number, if necessary, and please submit only a number.
