ok i tried a few different methods and got a 5 digit number staring with a 2 anyone else get something like that?
i got an answer, but forgot to times it by 3...don't forget, people! =) It's really easy, just google how to find an area of a circle, and use a guess and check method to see how many of each pizza would be the best/cheapest. =)
@poetrygirl4life,
poetrygirl, i got a 4 digit number, starting with 7...(after correcting my mistake of not multiplying it)
@poetrygirl4life,
Me too a 5 digit # starting w/2
relatively simple math and some logical reasoning
@poetrygirl4life,
5 digits 2 *** 5. Am I on the right track?
Also don't forget to check when your total inches squared are multiplied by price per inches squared of the pizza, that you also check it back into the size of the pizza in inches squared, to make sure you don't have a number like 15.1 This would mean 15.1 required pizzas are needed to be bought, but you have to have WHOLE pizzas. So round up, even if it's .1 and then don't forget to multiply by the price again. My answer was wayy far off because i forgot to do this "little" part mentioned above.
@felineforever,
so i am doing it right then
@xwraith,
2***5 . . . seems right trackish to me
@xwraith,
I got 5 digits starting with 2, but not ending with 5. I am probably way wrong, lol
I answered 2***9, anyone else get this?
I see that most people got 2***5. That's what I got. willzi, make sure your answer is the lowest possible price and all your calculations are correct. Good luck everyone!
@Firestar624,
I don't know, the last time this happened to me it's because my calculator goes so far on pi =/
(It goes to 3.1415926535897932384626433832795)
@Firestar624,
That's a bummer, I now see where you went wrong

yeah, way to tell everybody the answer :/
To reply to an earlier comment, I beleive most people who provide complete and acurate informations reguarding LCs on this thread are actually in university or done with it(neopet at it's origin was created for a young adult audience), the area of a circle is something a wide variety of people actually use on their job, or just in their life in general.
yeah, Katana -- i agree with your sentiments.
but to be honest, this is a far cry from what i'd call the worst infraction of our "don't give too much away" policy. (at least they didn't post a link to the answer, or simply give the digits to submit.)
lurkers won't be handed the answer by this- but that being said, i still think it crossed the line.
while most lurkers won't know how spreadsheets work, or how to set them up properly, this gave away too much.
(though i doubt most lurkers would be able to figure out what these numbers actually represent)
all the same, 'blue bp17' won't be getting any more help from me. i've warned the board in general (and some users in particular) that giving out answers is unacceptable.
now it's time to follow through on that threat -- i'm going into 'lurking mode.' i'll read what is put up here, but i WON'T contribute any thoughts whatsoever . i can still be reached by private messages, but don't be surprised when i don't answer if i don't know you.
the area of a circle was something i was taught when i was 1oyrs old. i still remember it, and it's easy enough to find on the web if you forgot.
figure it out yourself.
