PinkRockz:

"The Lenny's age was three times the average of all five of their ages."

The average of all five is (A+B+K+L+T)/5
So, L = 3*(A+B+K+L+T)/5
Since you know A, B, K, and T, let X=A+B+K+T
Now, L=3*(X+L)/5
5L = 3X + 3L
2L = 3X
L = 3X/2

Smile actually the question is: If the Acara is four months older than the Kacheek, how many months old is the Lenny? SO it's is just asking for the age of the lenny... nothing else. Razz

How much do you know about solving linear equations? Or about solving systems of linear equations? Or about working with matrices and determinants? If you know that stuff, then just plug the information they gave into a matrix system, and row-op yourself to the solution. That, or apply Cramer's Rule to find the value only of L.

Between Valentines Day and Chocolate Chia day, King Skarl had more chocolate than he knew what to do with. In fact, he had exactly one of every item in Neopia with the word "chocolate" in it! Before feasting on all of this chocolate, however, his doctor told him he'd have to limit his consumption to 600 calories of chocolate per day.

If the number of calories in each chocolate item is three times its rarity, how many days will it take to eat all of the chocolate? Make sure you take into account all chocolate items on the site, and their rarities, as of the time of the judging of this conundrum, probably sometime next Wednesday. Also, please round up to the nearest day.

Good Luck

AAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
All right, so far I have searched for "milk chocolate" "orange chocolate" "mint chocolate" "chocolate coated" "dark chocolate" "white chocolate" and just plain "chocolate" as well as looked at any items I had, gourmet items, and anything else I can think of... I already have HUNDREDS of items...

now the real question in it says

"he had exactly one of every item in Neopia with the word "chocolate" in it!"

and it says

"Make sure you take into account all chocolate items on the site"

Now, is it all items w/ the word chocolate, or all choclate items, because the latter would suggest only edible items made from chocolate, but the prior would suggest that battledome items or TCG with the word choclate in them would be eaten also..... any help on that one?!?!?!?!?

i was reading some of the posts and noticed there was some confusion as to whether this was strictly chocolate foods, or if all chocolate items apply. i may be wrong, but im pretty sure nobody knows the eating habits of king skarl.. im not sure, but isnt he a skeith? a skeith can eat anything, from what i know of them (i dont have one i could be wrong), but in that case id assume its EVERY chocolate item.. this ones gonna be hard!
