not to throw a wrench in this, but a base-36 number has 0-9 and a-z.
so acara in base-36 is acara. it's 17369974 in base-10.
either they messed up the wording of the question or we're all reading it wrong or i'm seriously missing something.

@BrixenIvy,
I don't get how your statement makes sense. The question on neopets.com is worded correctly. I'm not sure how you are coming about thinking the wording is messed up... Maybe explain where you're getting confused and someone can help make it make sense to you?

I have a question. Let's take this example.
How many prime factors does '8' have?
Is it 3: 2x2x2? Or
is it 1: the number 2?

another example to clarify the point.
How many prime factors does '24' have?
Is it 4: 2x2x2x3? Or
is it 2: 2 and 3?

@wertyiu102,
Thanks wertyiu102. That's what I was thinking too.
Then doesn't that make #2 Tuskaninny, not Moehog?
I think Leopard's answer was assuming #2 was Moehog...

@zappBrannigan,
hmm... so youre thinking that 1 is korbat and 2 is tuskaninny? Well... i'm not so sure.. try making a foctor tree umm... so say.. you have 80.. 10, 8, 2, 40, 5, 16, 4, 20, etc. Like that.. right?

@wertyiu102,
Moehog=1371242752 =2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 11 * 486947
==>2,11,486947

Tuskanniny: 3032110417239358 = 2 * 7 * 13 * 71 * 383 * 499 * 983 * 1249
==> 2, 7, 13, 71, 383, 499, 983, 1249

Do you mean "distinct" prime factors? Then the latter for each. Finding prime factors usually means breaking a number down into the prime numbers that must be multiplied together to make that number, though, which would be the former.
