b) you get into the top 100

I'm leaning more towards a) rather than b), but I don't know anyone with 3 'first 250' who isn't in the top 100. If I got QASALB right, we'll know that in about a week (this would be my 3rd one, in a row too) Razz

The sum of the last column given "QASALB" as the answer is 52 btw so it fits with the other theory.

Thanks iconoclast. I'd be happy with any trophy; its too late in the evening over here to stay up every week to get the highest trophy, so if I get bronze I will stick with that Smile

You will def get a bronze if youre in the top 250 and some friends and I have speculated that to get gold you have to be in the top 10 or so and top 50 for silver. I think they award trophies based on a similar principle to the better than you competition. Does that make sense? Smile

I got silver when I solved my first one (edit: I got into 'first 250' then).

So maybe it's like this:

Bronze - solve at least one
Silver - be in the 'first 250' at least once
Gold - top 100 OR 'first 250' three times

Then again I never saw anyone with a bronze one, so that's only a hypothesis Razz

I have been inthe top 250 more than three time and I still have silver, I would then think that you would have to be in the top third to get the gold.

The points probably mean how many times you got 'first 250'.

So a foolproof method to get into the high-score list would be to get at least 4 points.

You might be lucky and get in with just 3 points, but only if you do that in the first Wednesday of a month, and are lucky enough to be picked from all the other 3-pointers. Razz

You only get points by earning a gold trophy. Ive gotten in the top 250 many times and Im only a silver trophy.

The points on the high score table correspond with the number below their gold trophy on their User Lookup. If you win gold 3 times, you will have 3 points on the HS table and so on. If you dont have a gold trophy, you have no points.

Hmm, I guess I was wrong. Now that I think about it, it would make sense -- why would the top LC player only have 15 'top 250' entries?

LC Trophies Awarded as follows:

0 - 10 Gold Trophy
11 - 50 Silver Trophy
51 - 250 Bronze Trophy

To get on the High Score Table you need a minimum of 3 Gold Trophies.
(and realistically for many of us it will soon be 4x as the minimum)

Note: I currently have Lenny Conundrum 2xCHAMPION!!! and have been in top 250 countless times in the last 7 years, so to get Gold repeatedly you must be FAST with the correct answer!

I think the LC high score table works the same way as the Avatar Collector and Stamp Collector high score tables--you don't have to get X number of avatars/stamps THAT MONTH [that would be a pain, considering you can only get them once!], but you have to manually register the score you already have by, I presume, going to the LC page that month [for avatars/stamps, going to the chat prefs page? and stamp album, respectively, if you haven't gotten any additional ones].
