another Able2Know hint.... never round intermediate steps... I lost out on top 250 on that super hard physics of a water filled sphere question because the answer I used, the guy had rounded in intermediate steps.

Jen I still think we should only post the method, not the outright answer. Those that don't do the work shouldn't profit. The method is more than enough, if they can't be bothered to calculate from there (if its a maths question) they shouldn't get the prizes.

As far as the math tutors and whatnot... they'll just have to learn which ones are very neopets-like and start ignoring those folks begging for answers on google, yahoo, etc.

Hmm, I saw a post that would confuse most people who didn't follow all the talk. Naturally, I take the liberty to say this: If you got something like this: 8xx * 8xx = 8xxxxx (800,000s) then you are in the right track ;3 though I can't tell you for sure xD

Let me first say, I appreciate what you guys do here. I've lurked her for quite some time and I've already gotten the trophy and avatar. A big thanks for all your help - although sometimes I knew the answer all by myself! Laughing

But if you're going to not give the answer, maybe you should change the title of the forum? After all ... Neopets IS just a game. And in the overall scheme of things is it that important?

But this is obviously a group decision left to all of you. Thanks for all you've helped me in the past. Very Happy

It's nice not to have the answer on here because you still have to try and figure out some of it on your own. Some puzzles you don't know how to solve. So you work with people to figure out how to solve them. And then solve them and get the answer. Not just hand the answer out. At least thats what I like about this Forum.

Apparently, it is "that important": As an apparent result of suddenly not giving out the answers here, Neopians are returning to the tutoring services, "forgetting" where they got the Neopets images, "misspeaking" the Neopets puzzle texts, and "accidentally" presenting the prize-winning Neopets answers as being the needed solutions to math homework or even crucial take-home tests. Shocked

So, please, by all means: GIVE OUT THE ANSWERS HERE!
