Ah, I see what you mean...

Yes, but no (I'm not doing Vicky from Little Britain here  )

3 and 4 are only in the six numbers twice, so it would make sense to use them. But 7 is only there once, as is 1 and 8, and 6 is there four times, while 2 and 5 are there three times. 9 is not there at all. So there is not a pattern there either.

hey, has it got to do with symol day 2005?

i right clicked the picture and the it came out as that.
maybe that's a lead?

On the neoboards, folks who solved it have said that it has nothing to do with any other pages on neopets, like shopkeepers or symol pages.

I've seen quite a few people in different places saying that all that you don't have to go to any other pages.

Generally the hints on the neoboards are good. Nobody's trying to trick anybody else.. but not giving out the answer either since it's against the rules.

Well, thanking me for THAT would be wong, I think =) at the first glance, I thought you were right! And being right isn't bad, I remember the first time I actually solved one of these things and got a bronze trophy - I was so proud =) it was a word puzzle, more my thing. I suck at math.

The only reason I spotted your mistake was because I was trying to prove you were right. And I have a knack for proving patterns, once people start pointing them out to me. I have a touch of OCD, nothing that controls my life - but I always know where my things are, and I'm VERY good at drawing straight lines and telling you wether or not a pattern is true or not

So far, I've seen nothing that has an end here.. Many things starts out well, but then they run out. Very annoying!

On that note, I do think it has something to with the seven s-words and the number of hours (seven in total) and that the words and/or the letters in the words may be a clue to the number of cubic inches in each hour. But how, I have no idea.

Can any one remember previous number to letter values in old LCs?

"o" is the odd one out. if you think of each as a tens unit (twenty, fifty, forty, etc) then 12 becomes ten then two and you get "T" instead of "O' ... if that helps any.

So, I replace O with T... but I still can't find any patterns.

Well, it was mention that we should put the numbers into hundreds and tens. So here it is

400 27
200 56
300 12
500 46
600 56
800 23

s e v e r a l 427
s y m o l s 256
s a t 312
s i l e n t l y 546
s n a c k e d 656
s u g a r y 823
s w e e t s xxx

well, if you noticed, the 2nd and 3rd letters of the words have a difference in 2 of the same words.
e, y(the sixth vowel), a, i, N, u, W (the 2nd letters of the words)
v, m, t, l, c, A, g, E

this was a pattern i've spotted. don't know whether this helps or not.

2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 are represented - the obvious missing one is seven; again with the seven. So I would think that the FIRST number is the number of cubic inches dug out in the seventh hour is 7.
