Neopia is a strange little planet. Its gravitational acceleration at its surface is exactly 10.0 metres per second per second, and its diameter is exactly 2100 kilometres.

Also, a completely unrelated fact, Skeiths are able to consume about 0.4 kg of pretty much anything they want to eat, every minute, nonstop.

Assuming that the density of the planet is uniform, and that orbiting bodies don't significantly affect the planet's gravity, how many years will it take one million Skeiths to consume one cubic kilometre of Neopia? Please round up to the nearest year.

What objection(s) do you have to the solution already provided?

Please be specific. Thank you.

guys, they're not going to post a new lenny until they judge the previous one...and they're not going to post the same one two weeks in a row...so unless it changes, it's not a new lenny! Have a little patience.

Final Anwsers
I'm not saying you are wrong, Eliz, and I have nothing against your solution provided, but I'm a tad confused.
I've seen your solution (162)
I've also seen other solutions, like 81, 5, and others.

So what IS the final answer?

I provided a complete worked solution, giving all my formulas, values, units, and etc. You are welcome to work through the reasoning, and post your own solution. But I'm not sure what more you might want of me...?

Great! You can either start "fresh", or you can work from one of the solutions already posted, checking the formulas, verifying the values and units, and confirming (or correcting) the steps, reasoning, and solutions.

It's all been laid out for you. Help yourself! Very Happy

I'm sure you're not one of those Neopians who demands the instant provision of guaranteed prize-winning answers -- only then to whine about how "unfair" it is that now "just anybody" can copy "his" answers and thus diminish "his" prizes. (Isn't that annoying sometimes?) Confused

Quite the contrary, I'm sure you have invested your own efforts, following the reasoning and working through the steps yourself, finally arriving at a similar value. Kudos! Don't doubt yourself!

Riunivaka, I think the purpose of this forum is to provide intelligent debate on the LCs, and not for some people to just give others the answer. Maybe you are new to this forum, but you should put in an effort to read previous pages and messages before pushing for people to just give you the answer.

I am sure a lot of people come to just read the posts. People contribute where they can. But can you see how this would be frustrating to those who do the work to get the answers and others can't even skim through a couple back pages?

That being said, good luck, and I'm sure none of us can wait 'til the next update!

not exactly... Lenny Conundrum related...?
Hi yea um... I'm REALLY sorry about this, and I KNOW this is for the LENNY CONUNDRUMS... but I'm having some problems.
1. Why can't I log into my account. I type in the correct username and password, and I try to get in, but it always brings me back to the login page or brings me to the pet page but I'm never logged in,

Hence, I don't think I can get the new lenny conundrums that come out tomorrow. Which really confuses me. How am I supposed to be able to login to submit my answers and help here when I am unable to enter my account?

If this has been happening to you, please tell me. I was able to login just yesterday and now... gone!

No, I'm not waiting for answers. I'm just clearing up for those who may be confused. Apparently, my attempt of help is quite unapreciated, hence I will remain quiet unless I have part of an answer to contribute.

So long!

Jazabel - I also had that problem at a stage. Clear all your cookies and history. Then got to www.neopets.com and log on from scratch. Hope it helps

You might want to keep an eye on the Neopets "Mystery Picture" thread.

(I have no access to the Neopets site, so I couldn't say. Sorry.)
