If I may add something I believe to be a bit odd, although perhaps it's just my inexperience with the Lenny Conundrum.
If someone who has been playing the Conundrum for a while could clear this up?
"And all correct entries will split the 2,000,000 Neopoint prize pool."
If you multiply the winners (11805 people) by the number of neopoints distributed (170np) you get 2,006,850.
Why is there 6,850nps over the limit? Does this happen often?

It is not necessarily a strict 2,000,000 NP pool--that is, if 4,000,000 people got it right, they would not give 1/2 NP to each person but round it up. THAT is where the extra NP comes from.
They only list how many people got the answer RIGHT. There could be any number of people who got it WRONG, but there is no way for someone who isn't on The Neopets Team to know. There have been several of this exact type of question in the past, and it's always been a random guess.

Ah, that makes sense. Thank you for clearing up my confusion!

i highly doubt its 40. thats way too small of a number i gotta say that i like bullzeye150's answer it makes sense
OK call me crazy...
I did this differently...I looked at the prize - guess the card game table - and looked at the card games - the only one with a number in the name is scarab 21 - so I went with 21,000
also..if u go 2000000/ 11805 = 169.419737399
i think like the previous person said..they just rounded it to 170
wow thanks guys it really helps!
I felt compelled to join this forum and point out that there wasnt a lenny conundrum question last week. So the answer is 0 to the nearest 1000, which is 1000
Bucky wrote:the answer is 0 to the nearest 1000, which is 1000
Actually, since zero is less than 500, rounding to the nearest 1000 gives zero.
Eliz.
I'm pretty sure 0 is correct.
0 does make sense.
Is it just me, or have the last couple of Lenny Conundrums been 'trick' questions?
I mean, if 0 is right, then It is a trick question.
And last time the answer was sort of in the question.
Irrelevant Note:
I feel sorry of the person who has the job of coming up with them.
Ok I really dont think 0 is it, unless, like said, its a "trick question".
Heres what we know.
11,805 people got it correct
they split the 2,000,000 np pool.
they each got 170 np each.
Can be represented by this formula?
x-11,805=y
x=total number of people who answered
y=number who got it incorrect.
Easy math, but no way to find either variable, other than TNT knowing how many people entered, we have to find THAT we have to find X.
Still looking for it somewhere currently...
omg I got it right
funny thing is that I don't remember the exact number I guessed... think it was 35000 or 39000 or something like that. just entered the most reasonable guess in my opinion.
got silver trophy, the prize item and a whopping 21k (meaning that only about 95 ppl got it right).
btw you guys in this topic rock
always like to see your solving methods and speculations.
Last week's answer: 35000
THIS WEEKS PUZZLE - ends next Wednesday, probably
Fill in the blank:
A group of Neopets, all the same species, walked toward Neopia Central one morning. Before they arrived, however, they took a wrong turn. Coincidentally, another group of Neopets of the same species as the first group, also walking toward Neopia Central, also got lost at the same fork in the road. Doubling back toward the way they thought they came from resulted in them getting even more lost. Even so, the two groups of Neopets eventually found each other and decided to work together to find their way back. Finding their way back was proving difficult. Granted, they had only been lost a short while, so far, so they weren't too scared yet.
Hours later, however, they began to get frustrated. In fact, they decided they should just stop and wait to be found by a passerby. Just then, they realised something. Keeping together would be their best chance of rescue. Later, they still hadn't found anyone to help them. Maybe they'd be stuck here forever.
Now, what was the species of Neopet that was lost? _________, of course!
elephante?
if they stay together someone will see them fater
or uni
'cause
I don't know =(
the answer is ogrin i think. each sentence starts with the next letter of the alphabet. the second to last sentence starts with Nm so the last sentence would start with O. Ogrins are the only neopets that have names starting with an O.
Its easy you'll feel stupid once you get it....
its easy enough without hints...
and Chris.... don't give the answer
oh, sorry, is there any way i can delete my post?
