I am concerend about your finding the answer of the heaviest to be 132
I was able to solve this with the heaviest being 130

total weights
258 252 250 248 242 238 236 230 228

equations
a>b>c>d>e

a+b>a+c>b+c
c+e>d+e

a+b=258
a+c=252
b+c=250
c+e=230
d+e=228

no problems with my equations?
solution
a=130
b=128
c=122
d=120
e=108

is there something I am missing?

Hey guys! Im new! and If you know this answer will you please tell me? Ok here it is Five Grundos took turns weighing themselves on a scale. However, they weighed each other two at a time, ten times total , so that every possible combination of two grundos was weighed. The scale had the following readouts for the pairs: 236 pounds, 244 pounds, 228 pounds, 250 pounds, 258 pounds, 230 pounds, 246 pounds, 238 pounds, 242 pounds, and 252 pounds.

This is hilarious.
I've only seen about 6 weeks worth of Lenny Conundrum and this is by far the easiest. Subbota told you everything you need to know on page 203. "Groggy" I couldn't decipher. How you lot worked that out is a mystery.

The Weights Are
A = 110
B = 118
C = 120
D = 126
E = 132

110 + 118 = 228
110 + 120 = 230
110 + 126 = 236
110 + 132 = 242

118 + 120 = 238
118 + 126 = 244
118 + 132 = 250

120 + 126 = 246
120 + 132 = 252

126 + 132 = 258

therefor the heaviest is 132 pounds, sorry if this was already posted

If you're not confident that the answer you've been given is correct, why not do the work yourself?

Eliz.

Yep.
I understand the HTML codes answer, I'm just amazed that anyone thought to convert to colours and then take initials. Lateral thinking, I guess.

Not really, how else would you've been able to use the codes? Green, Red, Orange, Grey, Green, Yellow. It seemed pretty obvious to me. Evidently to many as well since I didn't make it to the 250. :wink:

You know, if you had bothered to look ahead you might have just found the answer and wouldn't have posted the question again. If you're just here for the answer (and I'll bet you didn't even try to attempt the question) and not on how it's done, then just be patient and wait. The answer will come out eventually.

I think this goes for all the future lenny con questions as I've seen a great MANY idiotic posts: CHECK THE EARLIER POSTS BEFORE POSTING ANYTHING STUPID.

By stupid I mean: "Hey I'm new. I'd like the answer", reposting the question, "It'd better be right", etc.

I personally believe if you'd like to post, make it worth our while. That means, unless (a) you either have the answer (with a solution perhaps), (b) you are discussing the problem (whether it's right or wrong, or you'd like to see the actual solution) or (c) making INSIGHTFUL comments... then please just refrain from posting.

Congratulations! You have guessed correctly in the Lenny Conundrum game (round 160). You have won 574 NP!

Because you were in the first 250 to guess correctly, you also have been awarded a Programming For Grundos, and receive a trophy and the Lenny Conundrum avatar!

Yours Sincerely,
The Neopets Team!

While going for a casual stroll through Altador, you met a Kacheek walking around with four of his petpets. "I travel a lot and adopt unwanted Petpets," he said.

"This is Steel," he said, pointing to one of his Petpets. "I picked him up in the Lost Desert."

"These two," he said, "are Susie and Morrie. I found them in the Virtupets Space Station and in Terror Mountain, respectively."

"And finally, this is Melissa."

Where did Melissa come from?
