Did y'all notice they FINALLY showed how they got the answer to the previous LC? Smile [I don't understand why they don't--they should know how they got their own answers!]

Edit: oops, I made a new page... now the n00bs will be asking what the newest answer is again Razz

round 158
can anybody pls explain to me how u got the answer for round 158??? i mean... if he's supposed to arrange the dubloons into a SQUARE that can fit 10 dubloons on 1 side, (therefore considering it's a square the lenght of the sides should be that of 10 dubloons), how come the vertical sides fit 11???? i just don't get it.. THIS WEEKS PUZZLE - ends next Thursday most probably

Old Cap'n Bloodhook, the captain of The Black Pawkeet, has spent the better part of the past week packing away his hoarded dubloons. He has hardly gotten any sleep.

So, you want to talk to him about last week's Lenny Conundrum, but you're not sure if you should approach him if he's not in a good mood. So you ask one of his deckhands how he's feeling.

"I can't really tell you," the deckhand says. "If he overhears me talking about his mood, I'll surely be walking the plank before long." But he hands you a piece of paper with a code on it. "If you can figure this out," he says, "you'll learn how he's feeling right now."

0 7 A B 5 9
D 5 1 5 0 3
F E 9 C 0 9
8 0 7 9 8 1
1 8 8 5 0 C
F D F D 2 4

How is Old Cap'n Bloodhook feeling?
Do you know the answer?!?
(Please use keywords, and keep guesses under 50 characters. Also, note that the more extra information you put in your answer, the less likely it will be tagged as a correct one. So please, don't submit any more information than simply your answer.)

I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S THE ANSWER

Have you ever used a forum before? There is something called "previous posts" which can be viewed... and guess what ?? If you take the time to look at them, you might be surprised to find an answer??

Shocked

So maybe next time before you post, be a little more thorough and find the information instead of asking the same question and expecting the answer to be handed to u on a platter.

Congratulations! You have guessed correctly in the Lenny Conundrum game (round 159). You have won 953 NP!

Because you were in the first 250 to guess correctly, you also have been awarded a Toy Pirate Sword, and receive a trophy and the Lenny Conundrum avatar!

It's about time I make it in on time for one of these. =) Did anyone else manage to get it in on time?

New LC

Five Grundos took turns weighing themselves on a scale. However, they weighed each other two at a time, ten times total , so that every possible combination of two grundos was weighed. The scale had the following readouts for the pairs: 236 pounds, 244 pounds, 228 pounds, 250 pounds, 258 pounds, 230 pounds, 246 pounds, 238 pounds, 242 pounds, and 252 pounds.

How heavy was the heaviest Grundo?

It seems like it should be simple...Let's just see what happens....
