Perhaps it's because I haven't been on the forums for a while, but the 'New Topics' link doesn't work any more.
All it does is loads for a few minutes and then gives me an error message telling me to reload.
I have logged on and off a few times to see if that helps, but to no avail.
What should I try next?
Wow! You mean "New Posts"? It has been working for me right along.
No, new posts works fine. But for some reason new topics doesn't work at all.
Ah! I never noticed the new topics button before. I just tried it and it also worked for me. Quite slow, however.
Weird, I couldn't make it work, either. I know that Craven's been fooling with the format a bit -- if you look at "Your Topics", for example, it is in a different format than it used to be --but I pretty much never use New Topics (use "at a glance" so not sure how long this has been the case.
I also use "new topics" very, very rarely. What I have noticed, is that it loads much more slowly than any other A2K link, and I have cable. The few times that I have attempted to access it, I gave up, in disgust.
Just to check for you, this time I waited, for what seemed an interminable time, and the page DID eventually load.
I use "New Topics" but the loading is very slow. I can generally do a few bends and stretches while I'm waiting, making a virtue of necessity.
The code needs rewriting and the page will probably be removed soon, pending said rewrite.
*Bump*
This has really been the only thing that's been keeping me from getting back into the A2K community again and it doesn't seem like there's been much progress. What's up?
Individual--
Try the 'New Posts" button on the top right side of the screen. Now that I'm used to it, I find it easier t find good threads than "New Topics" used to be.
Aww, you're always a part of this community.
Thanks, Roger. By the way, what happened to your rat avatar? That was a mighty fine rodent you had.
I'll see if I can track him down, then.
Roger met the Pied Piper?
Perhaps Roger didn't pay the piper?
I think ol' Reggovitch Rat is a goner. Eeyore is almost like hoisting the Jolly Roger, but there he is.
Would you fancy a punctured balloon? Gift wrapped?
Or are you Eyore's alter ego--the donkey with the pin?
