Amorous Koalas

I'm moving to the Adelaide hills ( well, around that area anyway) next door to a national park. Two questions:

1) Gas, Electricity, phone and water bills. Do i have to use the same company as the previous resident or can i just call up the providers at random and get connected. Also, do i have to change the water account, or does it get billed to the house?

2) how noisy is the mating call of koalas exactly? I have been warned, but nobody has given me an exact comparison/estimate .
