two short riddles, I need some help

Hello everyone,

I've got two short riddles here that I'm stuck on, any help on these would be much apprecciated.

I am evolutions way
Of saying:
"You've had long enough to play"
I'm the unveiling of the skull,
The barnacles sheered off the hull
To show the noble wreck beneath,
As all shall learn who feel my teeth...

Who am I?

With every question that I pose
The keener curiosity grows.
Who? I ask, and then a moment later,
And why? And how?
And where's our waiter?

What am I?

I have no clue on these. They're from a ~20 year old text-based game. Just for refference here's the one that I already got.

Without and within
I am skin after skin;
Core I have none,
And I shall be undone
By the slice of your knife.
It's a hell of a life.

Who am I?
An Onion. (strange, using the word "who" here) and this also leads me to believe that maybe the last lines of the other riddles are just for filler.

Thanks in advance.

I think the second riddle is a questioner or a riddler.

Someone who poses questions.

Can't really think of much else that fits there!

And I also agree that Death is the first one.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I went back into the game, tried some more and came up with the answer to the first one.

bald

Like I said, it would seem that the last line of eack of the riddles has nothing to do with the riddle.

As far as the other one, I too was thinking something along the lines of a riddler or the like, but I couldn't come up with anything else. They use "what" instead of "who" so I was thinking maybe it isn't a noun but more of a state of mind (ie: confused)...

Anyway, thanks

I thought the first one was baldness, as for the second one, I would say best answer is "a woman" or "a child"; both make more sense than a riddler.

The answer to the second riddle is "question mark".

ThreePhase,
How did you overcome the problem of that guy wanting to rest after every 5 steps? I manage to get to the computer shop, read files 1-4 but i always seem to faint on my way back to the tenement.

Death works for number 1. I think 'extinction' is more fitting, since it makes reference to evolution ending play time.

I agree #1 is death - the grim reaper. but the first line on that is almost ironic - who says I've played??? More like worked my head off!
