I don't know if this was ever posted but holy crap....what a story!
$95,093.35
i have heard stories like that.
Some of them have been dismissed as urban legend.
but then i realize, the people who deposit those checks ( ie:tellers) USUALLY have a TON of work in front of them. Thepossibility..? I would say, the next time i get one of those in MY mailbox.. heheheh
I'll have to read it later.
There was acase in England not too long ago where several thousand pounds was paid by mistake into this guys account, he told the bank repeatedly that it wasn't his money, the bank told him repeatedly that it was.
He opened an account at another bank and transferred it, he didn't touch it he just wanted to "shake them up" (well thats what he said)
The outcome was that he got a 6 month prison sentence which was suspended for 12 months, for taking money which he knew was not his.
That sucks. This guy didn't get anything except a whole lot of publicity.
