Animal testing has gone on for many years now but think about it (yes i know about all the animals that died but...) it isnt really that bad is it? would you rather an animal to die by helping us. Or we die from something we cant figure out the remedy.

Animals use other animals. Lions eat zebras. Eagles eat rabbits.
Man is an animal that achieved a complete dominance over all other animals. He uses them. It is natural.

Most folks here agree with you I think. Just in case, if you read this and disagree, please post if only to say "I disagree"

I think the major uproar against using animals in laboratory tests came about as a result of reveleations that animals are sometimes used, and destroyed, in tests that have dubious benefits for mankind, e.g. developing cosmetic products. I see no moral problem in using animals to test, say, a vaccine which may save many human lives. The main ethical argument, I think, is not whether to use animals in these tests but, rather, how they are utilized and the purpose of the testing.

Personally i am against animal testing in some respects. If it is testing cosmetics, or frivial items that post no great potential for improvement of human life, than i say it is a cruel waste of an animal.

But if it is testing an animal with a vaccine that could possibly save thousands of lives, than i say, thank you very much animal, your help is greatly appreciated. (no sarcasm here, if that is what you think).
