Hi, i'm having issue with old shoes sole, i didnt wear it in long time so its cracking and sole as well, i dont mind any part cracking, im just hoping to repair sole as it will end up falling apart just by wearing it.
unfortunately i dont have any knowledge in sole types so i cant say from which material it's made from, its foam like and easily breaks into powder and easily scratched.
if anything possible to add to secure it please tell me, it will be artist shoes so i dont mind add anything
@mamerala,
It's probably a lost cause partly because there are so few shoe repairmen around, and partly because that foam looking stuff isn't normally repairable. For small damaged areas, Shoe Goo works well, but I don't think it would help when the whole sole is cracking. Still, it's all I can think of.
@roger,
would crafting something to cover whole sole work? i do think it would just keep cracking but maybe crafting something around would save it?
@mamerala,
I'm only guessing, but that sounds more cosmetic than an actual repair. Go ahead though if you really like them.
@mamerala,
you have to use shoe trees..they keep every thing looking good..
@mamerala,
This shoe sounds like it is unable to be fixed. Once the foam material starts to break down it is almost impossible to fix.
