a worm is at the bottom of a fourty metre hole. It can crawl upwards at the reat of four metres in one day, but at night, it slips back three metres. At this rate, how long will it take the worm to crawl out of the hole?
On the thirty-seventh day it makes it to the top... but doesn't quite make it out of the hole until the following day(day 38).
but what would happen if it were already midday when the worm started crawling?

What about the length of the worm itself?
