LED lights keep failing

I replaced a 3 fixture incandescent unit in the bathroom with a 3 fixture LED unit. The LED on the left of the unit has blown out three times, each time after around 2 months of use. Each time the light was on for 20 minutes or so when it made a hum ffttt sound and went out. Is this bad luck or a wiring problem? Any other cause?

@klimshelf,
When temperature can't dissipate from the heat sink, it can cause lamps to fail prematurely. An LED light may degrade because LEDs emit light that decreases exponentially as a function of time and temperature.
Here are some tips to avoid LED lighting failure:

1) The most significant cause of LED lighting failure is the source. For example, shipping may hit a connector loose and negatively impact performance.
2) To reduce the possibilities of LED lighting failure, ask the manufacturer about its testing procedures.
3) Look up UL registration number. Verify a UL mark by visiting the free UL Online Certifications Directory.
4) Search for DLC qualification. It means these have been tested and estimated to distinct performance.

@klimshelf,
I think you have a partial short around the switch in the fixture. You probably will have to return it and get another one.
