@rjngh2005,
Try using a search engine such as Google or Bing. Enter 'water table for Los Angeles', then enter 'water tables California'

@rjngh2005,
Id start with the USGS Ground--water Information eb site. It has maps and network data for all 50 states and lots of overseas areas (where gw projects have been carried out). Id recommend the state of california but Calif is one of the states that considers ground water information private to the site owners.
The USGS monitoring well networks are much more "user friendly" to researchers

The ground water basin of San Fran is separate from th bin in which Sn Diego lies. Ground water establishes localized basins in which there is a recharge area (where the water gets in the ground) and discharge areas,(where ground water "daylight" to the surface. There are deep water tables that contain saline water but those are not considered "beneficial use" aquifers

Hey guys, I am wondering if anyone could suggest a possible research topic that can cut across health hazards of heavy (toxic) metals from gold mine drainages (particularly Gold) and human health.

@temybroder,
yeh. The big gold mining outfits usually have health specialists and toxicologists on board since much gold mining still uses cyanide leaching in Western US, and a few placs still use mercury amalgamation
