Could I ask someone to take a look at this, in the above game Francis has posted a photo, but all I see is a little white box with a red cross in it.
Can you advise please?
There are plenty of sites that don't allow hotlinking, it's likely that the photo was inadvertently posted from one of those.
How can we detect a site not allowing hotlinking?
Only by posting a pic and then not seeing it, or if the site doesn't allow a copy/paste. Geocities and Snapfish don't allow hotlinking, those are the only ones I recall from off the top of my head.
If so, Jespah, why can I see the picture in the thread?

And once the image is in the cache, the picture is displayed from the hot link as well.
