There are three people in a room. A man that tells the truth always, a man that always lies and your self. In front of each man there is button. One button blows the world up and the other button lets you out of the room. You don't know which man tel the truth or lie and you don't know what each button does. You can only ask one question to one of them. What question would tell what each button does
Point to a button and ask, "Would the other man say this is the correct button?" If the answer is no, pick the button you pointed to. If the answer is yes, pick the other button.
(Note: I didn't solve this, I just thought it would be easier than clicking the link, and trying to apply it to this riddle.)
Your answer
ask either one - if I were to the other man which button to press, which would he tell me is correct?
the thing here is that if you ask the honest one he will actually tell you what the liar is saying. and if you ask the other he will lie about the honest mans answer. thus the answer will always be wrong.
either way you use the other button than the one answered by the men.
