Well, there's our Francis, listeners. How did you know the English lyrics to that song? Lovely, but quite sad. Thank you.

Let us break off for a minute from our usual stuff
& give a special thought for our boys in war torn Foreignsville. Don't lets forget them. If they are up to their necks in muck & bullets lets get 'em outta there. The whale failed, but we wont
---------------------------------------

Tip toe to the pickup, by the pickup
That is where I'll be, come
Tip toe thru the minefield with me
Tip toe from your sleeping bag
To the shadow of the pickup truck
And tip toe thru the minefield with me

Knee deep in shell cases we'll stray
We'll keep the napalm away
And if I kiss you in the battlefield
In the moonlight, will you pardon me
Come tip toe thru the minefield with me.

Good night soldier

"Never Far Away"

[1st Verse]
Everything I do Is all done for you
Lady I'm yours
And everywhere I go
You're always on my mind
You're all I adore
And I'll go
Outta my way
Just to assure
That our love endures I'm yours

[Chorus]
Girl I'm never far away I'll be right there (right there)
To keep you nice and warm I'm rushing right home
Girl I'm never far away I'll be right there (right there)
To protect you from the storm I'm rushing right home
Girl I'll be there I'll be right there

[2nd Verse]
I don't need you say
That I love you
A million times a day
Just the little things I do
All done for you
That's how I display
Love
And I'll go
Out of my way
Just to assure you baby
That our love endures I'm yours

[Chorus]
Girl I'm never far away I'll be right there (right there)
To keep you nice and warm
(Girl I'll keep you nice and warm,
You know I'll keep you nice and warm
You know I'll keep you nice and warm)
Girl I'm never far away I'll be right there (I'll be right there)
To protect you from the storm I'm rushing right home
Girl I'll be there I'll be right there

[Bridge]
You don't have to go and check my pager
Check my phone and search my pants to figure me out (ha)
Cause I'm an honest man
Don't need a plan, a stronger man
Cause girl there is no doubt
My love's real (as real as it comes)
Even though we are a million miles away from each other
I'm still right here, right here for you
(Here for you, here for you) I could search a million years
And still I wouldn't find anyone as beautiful as you
So rest assured our love endures I'm never far away...
(I'm rushing home baby, I'm coming home baby) I'm never far away...
(I'm rushing home baby, home baby, home baby) I'm never far away...
(I'm rushing home baby, I'm coming home baby) I'm never far away...
(I'm rushing home baby, home baby, home baby) I'm never far away...
(I'm rushing home baby, I'm coming home baby) I'm never far away...
(I'm rushing home baby, home baby, home baby) I'm never, never, never, never far Never, never, never, never far
Never far, never far I'm never far away I'm never far away...
Never far, never far I'm never far away I'll be right there

Wow! John! That's a parody that is scar-o-dy. You are right, Brit.

Well, my goodness, Francis. All of us here appreciate your ability to locate things so very quickly.

I was trying to mind the song that she sang, but all I could come up with is this:

All Fools Garden

You've changed the world around you, Is it better now?
No starving anymore, Is it better now?
Your helpless little fingers, They've never been as calm as now
Your trembling is over it's better now
If there was a light in the dark
I would try to wake you up
could I look into your eyes while another baby cries
Forgive me
I see the children in the playfield
You had to leave your place
Your silent accusation they took away your face
Your little life was over before it ever had begun
Your little wings were broken
You never reach the sun
If there was a light in the dark
I would try to wake you up
Could I look into your eyes
Would you take my alibies -- forgive me
Ev'rybody knows it
Repression is the way
You're not the child next door
You're much too far away
But there's no light in the dark
So I won't try to wake you up
I couldn't look into your eyes
In this world of alibies
Forgive me

IT'S QUIZ TIME ON WA2K, YOUR WACKY RADIO STATION

here is an old line of folksy nonsence spun for us by a very well known Hollywood icon many years ago ========

"Mild and good tasting pack after pack. And I. know, I've been smokin' em for twenty years..."
coff, coff, coff.

Now we've searched hi & lo for this man, Pilgrim, but being as he's a quiet American, a rare commodity, he's proving hard to find.

You can't leave that camel here, it's no parking

Francis, was that a song by Raman? She also did a spiritual song in Hindi which was transfixing. The lady on the radio called it "smoky".

you'll get arrested for loitering. Pretend you're adjusting your bra strap. Hang on, the cops might get the wrong idea. Make out your Zippo is outta fuel

My God, Francis. You mean that was John Wayne's real name. Shocked

While we await answers, I'll play the Fool's Garden song in French for our Paris person:

Pardonnez-moi

Pause for thought. That whale who sprung it's mortal coil whilst being rescued tonight. I don't know how much his aborted rescue cost but it can't be far removed from the cost of sending a rocket up into space to rescue Pluto.
So I wouldn't be surprised if the said whale ended up on top of Englands fish & chip shop menus to recover the costs incurred
