Forgive me for intruding, but johnboy wrote earier today on another thread about this little band that is performing in Charlottesville tonight. They play under the name of The Rolling Stones. Johnboy will not be attending. Instead he started planting some of the 500 daffodil bulbs that arrived yesterday, prompting this from one on my employees (who is more into video games than Wordsworth):

Ten thousand saw I at a glance.
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

Prince Charles, Camilla to Visit U.S. Thu Oct 6,10:18 AM ET

WASHINGTON - Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, will make their first visit to the White House since their marriage, officials announced Thursday.

The couple will have lunch and dinner with President Bush on Nov. 2, said White House press secretary Scott McClellan.

Steve Atkins, a spokesman for the British Embassy in Washington, said the duchess and Prince Charles also will visit New York and San Francisco as part of their first trip together to the United States since their April 9 wedding.

Prince Charles' last trip to the United States was last summer, when he came for former President Reagan's funeral.

Wonder what song the heir to the throne would like our station to play for him and the duchess, folks?

Well, there's our John of Virginia.

Every niece that I know is going to that concert, buddy. (plus a few that I don't know. <smile>)

Ah, daffodils. I miss them, John, and I love that poem as well.

Tell us about Autumn in Charlottesville, and another thing. I know that the single brick wall that Jefferson built is called the snake wall. Am I right?

MY OLD DUTCH
Words by: A.C.Ingle
Music by: Albert Chevalier

I've got a pal, a regular out an' outer.
She's a dear old gal, an' I'll tell you all about 'er;
It's forty years since fust we met,
Her hair was then as black as jet.
It's whiter now, but she don't fret
Not my old gal.

We've been together now for forty years
An' it don't seem a day too much.
There ain't a lady living in the land
As I'd swap for me dear old Dutch.
No, there ain't a lady living in the land
As I'd swap for me dear old Dutch.

Great song, however. Thanks for playing it, Manchester.

Reno Blues, by Woody Guthrie, was recorded by The Maddox Brothers and Rose, under the name, Philadelphia Lawyer.

Way out in Reno, Nevada,
Where romance blooms and fades,
A great Philadelphia lawyer
Was in love with a Hollywood maid.
"Come, love, and we will wander
Down where the lights are bright.
I'll win you a divorce from your husband,
And we can get married tonight."
Wild Bill was a gun-totin' cowboy,
Ten notches were carved in his gun.
And all the boys around Reno
Left Wild Bill's maiden alone.
One night when he was returning
From ridin' the range in the cold,
He dreamed of his Hollywood sweetheart,
Her love was as lasting as gold.

As he drew near her window,
A shadow he saw on the shade;
'Twas the great Philadelphia lawyer
Makin' love to Bill's Hollywood maid.
The night was as still as the desert,
The moon hangin' high overhead.
Bill listened awhile to the lawyer,
He could hear ev'ry word that he said:

"Your hands are so pretty and lovely,
Your form's so rare and divine.
Come go with me to the city
And leave this wild cowboy behind."
Now back in old Pennsylvania,
Among those beautiful pines,
There's one less Philadelphia lawyer
In old Philadelphia tonight.

Vaughn Monroe
(October 7, 1911 - May 21, 1973

Despite an early talent for the trumpet, Vaughn Monroe's desire to become an opera singer eventually landed him almost ten number one hits during the 1940s as well as a host of nicknames for his rich baritone, including "the Voice with Hairs on Its Chest" and "Old Leather Tonsils." Born in Akron, OH, Monroe moved to Wisconsin while still a child and focused on his trumpet talent for most of his boyhood. Another early ambition, to be an opera singer, resulted in his signing on as a vocalist with territory bands led by Austin Wylie, Larry Funk (for whom he made his recording debut) and Jack Marshand. While based in Boston with Marshand, Monroe formed his first orchestra and began recording for Victor's low-priced Bluebird label. One of his first singles, "There I Go," spent three weeks at the top of the Hit Parade in 1940. Though his orchestra was rather tame (even for the time), it was voted top college band that year. His long-time theme song "Racing with the Moon" debuted in 1941, and the following year and a half brought no less than three number one hits: "My Devotion," "When the Lights Go on Again (All Over the World)" and "Let's Get Lost."

Monroe's first few years of recording had been quite successful, but all his biggest hits were to come. During 1945, "There! I've Said It Again" and "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" both spent more than a month at the top of the charts. And his two biggest hits, "Ballerina" and "Riders in the Sky," came in 1947 and 1949, respectively. The latter, an old Western chestnut, presaged Monroe's attempt at moving into Hollywood's singing-cowboy genre with a couple of early-'50s B-movies including The Singing Guns and The Toughest Man in Arizona. He also disbanded his orchestra, and continued to work television and radio (he hosted Camel Caravan for many years). Except for a few mid-'50s novelties (including "They Were Doin' the Mambo" and "Black Denim Trousers and Motorcycle Boots"), Monroe never again hit the charts. He worked as a spokesman for RCA Victor, and continued to perform into the early '70s. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide

(Ghost) Riders in the Sky

An old cowpoke went ridin' out one dark and windy day.
Upon a ridge he rested as he went along his way.
When all at once a mighty herd of red-eyed cows he saw,
A-plowin' through the ragged sky and up a cloudy draw.

Yippee-yi-ay! Yippee-yi-oh!
Ghost riders in the sky.

Their brands were still on fire and their hooves were made of steel.
Their horns were black and shiny, and their hot breath he could feel.
A bolt of fear shot through him as they thundered through the sky,
For he saw the riders comin' hard, and he heard their mournful cry:

Yippee-yi-ay! Yippee-yi-oh!
Ghost riders in the sky.

Their faces gaunt, their eyes were blurred, their shirts all soaked with sweat.
They're riding hard to catch that herd, but they ain't caught 'em yet.
'Cause they've got to ride forever in that range up in the sky
On horses snorting fire. As they ride on, hear them cry:

Yippee-yi-ay! Yippee-yi-oh!
Ghost riders in the sky.

As the riders loped on by him, he heard one call his name.
"If you want to save your soul from Hell, a-riding on our range,
Then, cowboy, change your ways today, or with us you will ride,
Trying to catch the Devil's herd, across these endless skies."

Yippee-yi-ay! Yippee-yi-oh!
Ghost riders in the sky ...
Ghost riders in the sky!

June Allyson
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

June Allyson (born October 7, 1917) is an American actress, popular in the 1940s and 1950s.

She was born Ella Geisman in the Bronx, New York City, and brought up in near-poverty. After a childhood accident, she took up both swimming and dancing as therapy, and made her Broadway chorus-line debut in 1938 in the musical Sing Out the News. After her appearance in Best Foot Forward in 1941, she was selected for the 1943 film version, and followed it up with several other musicals, including Two Sisters from Boston (1946)and Good News (1947). She also played straight roles such as Constance in The Three Musketeers (1948), the tomboy Jo in Little Women (1949), and Glenn Miller's wife in The Glenn Miller Story (1953).

On August 19, 1945, Allyson caused Hollywood studio chiefs some consternation by marrying Dick Powell, who was 13 years her senior and had been previously married to Mildred Maund and Joan Blondell. They had two children, Pamela Allyson Powell (adopted) and Richard Powell, Jr., and remained married until his death on January 2, 1963, which led to Allyson's effective retirement from the screen. Following Powell's death, she went though a bitter court battle with her mother over custody of son Ricky and Pamela. Reports at the time revealed that writer/director Dirk Summers, with whom Allyson was romantically involved from 1963-1975, was named legal guardian for Ricky and Pamela as a result of a court petition.

Members of the nascent jet-set, Allyson and Summers were frequently seen in Cap d'Antibes, Madrid, Rome and London. However, the relationship did not last and she married briefly to Glenn Maxwell. She has been married to David Ashrow, a dentist turned actor, since 1976.

For her contribution to the motion picture industry, June Allyson has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 1537 Vine Street.

Al Martino
born October 7, 1927

When an artist is able to combine several important elements -- numerous international hit records, personal charisma, and a unique vocal style -- it inevitably leads to success. Known for such hits as Spanish Eyes and Can't Help Falling in Love in the 60's, Al Martino is presently in the midst of beginning his second career, which has already taken off with great momentum in the European market. Since the fall of 1993, Al Martino's songs have flooded the radio and television airwaves in Germany, and he is consistently selling out concerts throughout the continent.

Al Martino, born Alfred Cini, made his singing debut over 40 years ago in Philadelphia with the song Here In My Heart. What a debut it was! The title instantaneously sold over one million copies. With this ballad, Mr. Martino became the first American artist to hit number one in the British "single" charts during 1952, consequently putting him into the Guinness Book of World Records.

How did this landslide breakthrough occur? In his earlier years, Martino worked hard in the family's construction business, but in the evenings, he used what little free time he had, to perform in clubs and bars of his neighborhood.

It wasn't until Mario Lanza, already a celebrity at the time (and friend of the family), encouraged young Martino to pursue a musical career, and to move to New York. By 1950, Martino landed a much sought-after record deal with Capitol Records, after winning the first prize in Arthur Godfrey's "Talent Scout Show."

When Lanza was approached by Capitol to sing Here In My Heart, time constraints on his schedule provided the opportunity for newcomer Al Martino to step in and sing the song. From this point on, Al occupied a place at the zenith of international show business. His recording and concert success extended not only throughout America, but included Europe (especially Germany) and Australia.

One of the most successful Martino hits was Spanish Eyes, achieving several gold and platinum awards for sales. In 1965, the song reached number 15 on the British single charts. Even today, this classic by the late composer Bert Kaempfert is among the 50 most-played songs worldwide. Other Al Martino classics are still requested on a retail level, and are appearing periodically.

Another smash hit was the mega-seller Volare. In 1976, this catchy tune reached number one on the Italian and Belgium charts, and was in the Top Ten in Spain, Holland and France, as well as in many other European countries.

For over four decades, Martino has continued to deliver songs to the public in his own inimitable style. Memorable hits such as Painted Tainted Rose, Living a Lie, I Love You More And More Every Day, Tears And Roses, Mary In The Morning, I Love You Because, Can't Help Falling In Love and To The Door of the Sun (Alle Porte Del Sole) have enabled this widely celebrated artist to collect numerous honors and awards.

Martino has also proven himself to be taken seriously as a film actor. In 1972, he played that much sought-after role of Johnny Fontane in Frances Ford Coppola's epic film The Godfather. Thus, he gained the respect of his fellow actors, including Marlon Brando and Robert Duvall. Martino also sang the film's title score, The Love Theme From The Godfather.

In May of 1999, Al and his group of musicians were asked to perform at the home of entertainer Billy Joel in honor of Billy Joel's 50th birthday.

Just as Martino's past was filled with excitement and success, his future looks just as promising as he begins his second worldwide career in '96. Capitol Records has recently released "Great Gentleman of Song... Al Martino" with 18 wonderful standards and the acceptance has been overwhelming!

Spanish Eyes
by Bert Kaempfert, lyrics by Charles Singleton and Eddie Snyder

Blue Spanish eyes;
Teardrops are falling from you Spanish eyes
Please, please don't cry.

This is just adios and not goodbye.
Soon I'll return.
Bringing you all the love your heart can hold.
Please say Si Si,
Say you and your Spanish eyes will wait for me.

Blue Spanish eyes;
Prettiest eyes in all of Mexico.
True Spanish eyes:

Please smile for me once more before I go.
Soon I'll return.
Bringing you all the love your heart can hold.
Please say Si Si,
Say you and your Spanish eyes will wait for me.

Spanish eyes wait for me, say Si Si!

John Mellencamp
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

John "Cougar" Mellencamp (born October 7, 1951 in Seymour, Indiana) is an American singer and songwriter, known for a long and successful recording and performing career highlighted by a series of 1980s hits, including "Jack and Diane", and by his role in the Farm Aid charity event. Mellencamp now has a home in Monroe County, Indiana.

Mellencamp, who has a mild form of spina bifida, had a troubled childhood marked by several brushes with the law. He eloped with his pregnant girlfriend at seventeen and began performing with a band the following year.

At age 24, Mellencamp, determined to break into the music business, moved to New York City and signed on with agent Tony DeFries (at the time well-known for representing David Bowie). DeFries insisted that Mellencamp's first album, Chestnut Street Incident, a collection of covers and derivative originals, be released under the stage name Johnny Cougar, a move Mellencamp claims was made without his knowledge and against his will. The album was a failure, and Mellencamp lost his contract with MCA Records.

He signed to the tiny Riva Records label and recorded 1978's A Biography, unreleased in the US, but which yielded a hit in Australia ("I Need A Lover"). Riva added this song to the next album, John Cougar (1979) to minor success. Female rocker Pat Benatar recorded "I Need a Lover" and released the song as a single from her debut album In the Heat of the Night.

After one more album with Riva, Mellencamp signed with Mercury Records and released his breakthrough album, American Fool, in 1982 (see 1982 in music). The hit singles "Hurt So Good" and "Jack and Diane" sent the album to the top of the charts (the former being an unlikely radio hit with its lyrics referring to S&M).

With a major hit under his belt, Mellencamp insisted on changing his billing to John Cougar Mellencamp (compromising by keeping the stage name as well as his true last name) for the 1983 follow-up, Uh-Huh, which was another top-10 hit and spawned several hit singles, including the vivid Americana of "Pink Houses". Despite his popular success, Mellencamp fared less well with critics who tended to view him as a derivative heartland rocker in the mold of Bob Seger.

He rectified this in some quarters with the release of Scarecrow in 1985. The album's lyrics were socially aware, with several songs focusing on the plight of the American family farmer, and Mellencamp soon helped organize Farm Aid with Willie Nelson. Mellencamp, now fully asserting his power as a hitmaker, changed his billing to simply John Mellencamp and made waves by refusing to allow alcohol or tobacco companies to sponsor his tours.

His following LP, 1987's The Lonesome Jubilee was departure from his earlier material; it incorporated country and folk influences (see 1987 in music). It generated several more hit singles, including "Paper in Fire" and "Cherry Bomb". By 1993's (1993 in music) Human Wheels, Mellencamp's critical reception was solid and Dance Naked (1994 in music) spawned his biggest hit in years, "Wild Night" (a cover of Van Morrison's song, in the form of a duet with Me'Shell NdegeOcello).

After a 1994 heart attack, Mellencamp returned with Mr. Happy Go Lucky which blended heavier dance rhythms with his now signature folk-rock style with the aid of dance producer Junior Vasquez.

Mellencamp left Mercury after the 1996 disc. Issued a day before his 47th birthday in 1998, his self-titled debut for Columbia Records included the songs "Your Life is Now" and "I'm Not Running Anymore".

In 1999 Mellencamp covered his own tunes as well as those by Bob Dylan and the Drifters for his album Rough Harvest, one of two albums he owed Mercury Records to fulfill his contract (the other was The Best That I Could Do, a best-of collection) (1999 in music).

The early 21st century (e.g. 2001 in music) found Mellencamp teaming up with artists such as Chuck D and India.Arie to deliver a more laid back record with Cuttin' Heads, spawning the single "Peaceful World". Audiences would associate this song with the aftermath of the September 11 attacks, although it had been written beforehand.

Trouble No More followed in mid-2003 (2003 in music), a quickly-recorded collection of rootsy bluesy covers of artists such as Robert Johnson, Son House, and Lucinda Williams.

Mellencamp's sound is cited as a major influence by fellow midwesterners Sheryl Crow, Garth Brooks, Joan Osborne, and Kid Rock.

Hurts So Good

-John Cougar Mellencamp/G.M. Green

When I was a young boy,
Said put away those young boy ways
Now that I'm gettin' older, so much older
I love all those young boy days.
With a girl like you,
With a girl like you,
Lord knows there are things we can do, baby,
Just me and you.
Come on and make it

CHORUS:
Hurt so good.
Come on baby, make it hurt so good.
Sometimes love don't feel like it should.
You make it hurt so good.

Don't have to be so exiting.
Just tryin' to give myself a little bit of fun, yeah.
You always look so invitin'
You ain't as green as you are young
Hey baby, its you.
Come on, girl, now, its you.
Sink your teeth right through my bones, baby.
Let's see what we can do.
Come on and make it

Chorus

I ain't talkin' no big deals
I ain't made no plans myself.
I ain't talkin' no high heels
Maybe we could walk around all day long,
walk around all day long.

Chorus twice

Hey, hey

Toni Braxton
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Toni Michelle Braxton (born October 7, 1968 in Severn, Maryland) is a six-time Grammy Award winning African American R&B singer. She is most notable for her dark, deep, thick contralto vocals, which are low even by contralto standards. On April 21, 2001, Braxton married Mint Condition keyboardist Keri Lewis. That same year, she had her first child, a son named Denim Cole Braxton-Lewis. Braxton's second son, Diezel Ky Braxton-Lewis, was born in 2003.

Early years

Braxton is the oldest of six children. Her father was a clergyman, and the Braxton children were raised in a strict religious household. Braxton's first performing experience was singing with a church choir. She attended Bowie State University to obtain a teaching degree but decided to pursue a musical career. She and her four sisters (Traci, Trina, Towanda and Tamar) performing as The Braxtons, released their first single "The Good Life" in 1990. This single attracted the attention of producer Antonio "L.A." Reid which led to Braxton recording demos of songs written for Anita Baker for a new Eddie Murphy film, Boomerang. Pregnant, Baker passed and suggested the "girl in the demos". That was the break Braxton needed, and her songs "Give U My Heart" and "Love Shoulda Brought You Home" ended up on the soundtrack to Boomerang in 1992.
[edit]

Debut album: Toni Braxton

In 1993, Braxton released her self-titled debut album, Toni Braxton, under LaFace/Arista with anticipation from the single "Love Shoulda Brought You Home" from the Boomerang soundtrack which was also included on the debut.

The album was a critical and popular success peaking at number-one on the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart where it remained for two weeks.

Along with "Love Shoulda Brought You Home", Toni Braxton also featured the 1993 U.S. top ten hit singles "Another Sad Love Song" and "Breathe Again" and the 1994 singles "Seven Whole Days," "You Mean The World To Me," and "How Many Ways". "Breathe Again" topped the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart.

During this era, Braxton won several awards including a Grammy Award for Best New Artist and two American Music Awards for Favorite Soul/R&B New Artist and Favorite New Adult Contemporary Artist.
[edit]

Secrets

Braxton entered the studio in 1995 to start recording her sophomore album, Secrets. The album, released in 1996, is her most successful work to date. Braxton, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, and Antonio "L.A." Reid stuck to the same formula with this album but added more soul to the music. Braxton has said about the album, "The motivation for this album was to include a little bit of everything. Our aim was to come up with material that would have a familiar 'feel' to the people who bought the first album without being musically redundant." Along with Babyface, Braxton also worked with R. Kelly, Tony Rich, and David Foster on the album. Braxton was the co-executive producer of the album and co-wrote two of its songs, including the 1997 single "How Could An Angel Break My Heart" which was also later included on a Princess Diana memorial album.

With help from the first single from the album, "You're Makin' Me High", which became Braxton's first number-one hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, the album debuted at number-two on the Billboard 200. "You're Makin' Me High" also topped the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart for two weeks.

The second single from the album, Braxton's signature ballad "Un-Break My Heart" written by Diane Warren, spent eleven weeks at number-one on the Hot 100 chart and also topped the Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales chart for eleven weeks and the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart for four weeks.

Other singles from the album included "I Don't Want To" (which also topped the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart), "I Love Me Some Him", and the above-mentioned "How Could An Angel Break My Heart" which featured Kenny G, who Braxton later toured with.

During this era, Braxton also took a turn at modeling when she participated in the "Fashion Week" shows in New York City and became a temporary runway model for the designs of Mark Bower.

Braxton topped the Billboard Year-End Charts as the Top Hot 100 Singles Artist - Female, Top R&B Artist - Female (singles & albums), Top Hot R&B Singles Artist - Female, Top Hot Dance Club Play Artist, Top Hot Adult Contemporary Artist, and with the Top Hot Dance Club Play Single and Top Hot Adult Contemporary Track ("Un-Break My Heart"). She was also nominated for two American Music Awards for Favorite Female Artist Rock/Pop and Favorite Female Artist Soul/R&B.
[edit]

Toni troubles

In 1998, Braxton filed a lawsuit against her label, LaFace/Arista. She claimed that she had fulfilled what her original seven-year contract with the label had required, and she wished to be released from her contract. Arista, however, had not agreed to let Braxton go. It was reported that she had received far less for her two albums than most artists of her status. With only two album releases, Braxton had sold over 15 million albums at that point.

At the end of January, Braxton filed for bankruptcy protection with liabilities totaling more than $1 million. The filing was a result of recent disputes over her contract with Arista. Her publicist said of the action: "...the only sensible option... She is confident that with the court's protection, she will be able to make a fresh start."

A bankruptcy judge ruled in Braxton's favor by denying the dismissal of the claim (as filed by her record label). Braxton has said of the lawsuit: "I can't talk about the suit, but I love those guys very much. It's just business."

Also to add to the bad year, Braxton's then fiance, Curtis Martin of the New York Jets, ended his relationship with her leaving Braxton hurt and without a record contract.
[edit]

Toni reborn and in Heat

By Feburary of of 1999, Braxton had resolved her conflicts with her record label and began recording new material with the label. Babyface told MTV: "We're getting ready to head back in the studio with Toni and we've got everything worked out..." Braxton's new deal with Laface/Arista was worth a reported $25 million.

In January of 2000, Braxton released her first single since the bankcruptcy filing and since 1998. "He Wasn't Man Enough" was released to radio and peaked at #2 on Billboard Hot 100 in June.

In April, Braxton released her long awaited album The Heat, and it debuted at #2 on Billboard 200 albums chart with first week sales of 205,000 and stayed in the top 20 of the chart for 15 consecutive weeks.

Braxton's second single from the album, "Just Be A Man About It", peakead at #32 on the Hot 100, while "Spanish Guitar" was less successful and peaked at #98.

Braxton's music video for "He Wasn't Man Enough" was nominated for two MTV Video Music Awards including Best Female Video and Best R&B Video and a Billboard Music Video Award for Best R&B Clip of the Year. Braxton also topped the Billboard Year-End Charts as the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Artist - Female, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Album Artist - Female, and Top Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks Artist - Female. She also received the 2000 Aretha Franklin Award for Entertainer of the Year at the Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards.

Braxton became engaged to keyboardist Keri Lewis of Mint Condition, and they married in April of 2001. In June, she gave birth to her first child, a son named Denim Cole Braxton-Lewis.
[edit]

More Than A Woman

In November of 2002, Braxton released her fourth studio album More Than A Woman. It was Braxton's lowest debut yet on the Billboard 200 albums chart at #13 with first week sales of 95,000. The only single released from that album was "Hit The Freeway" featuring Loon, which only managed to peak at #82 on the Hot 100.

In April of 2003, Braxton gave birth to her second child, a son named Diezel Ky Braxton-Lewis. During that same month, she announced that she had left her home of twelve years, Arista Records, and was signing with Blackground/Universal headed by her manager at the time, Barry Hankerson. Some reports stated that Braxton had signed an $18 million contract with the label.
[edit]

Libra

In April of 2005, Braxton released her new single "Please" digitally and to radio. She had planned for a June release of her new album, but it was pushed back and eventually released on September 27 on Blackground/Universal.

"Please" performed poorly and failed to even debut on the Hot 100 chart. The album's second single is planned to be "Trippin' (That's the Way Love Works)".

In September, Braxton hosted the Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards and also opened the show with a performance of "Please".

Braxton will also be headlining the 3rd Annual VH1 Save The Music special.

Despite the fact that the first single did so poorly, the album was decently promoted and managed to dedut at no. 4 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, selling around 114,593 copies in the first week.

"And I Love You"

Say there ain't no remedies for the way I feel
They say you ain't no good for me cuz you ain't for real
But they don't see the little things
The things that touch my heart
The way I feel when I'm inside your arms

And I love you
As in more than anything
And I love you
Even when my heart's in pain
And I love you
Is there any other way
I'm gon' love you 'till my dying day

See, I done been through everything, seen it all before
And I know there ain't no such thing as perfect love no more
But mines is good enough for me, so leave my heart alone
He's the best thing that my heart's gonna ever know

And I love you
As in more than anything
And I love you
Even when my heart's in pain
And I love you
Is there any other way
I'm gon' love you 'till my dying day

And I love you
As in more than anything
And I love you
Even when my heart's in pain
And I love you
Is there any other way
I'm gon' love you 'till my dying day

If love is a miracle, then I've got mine baby
Everybody is invisible, I don't need them in my life
Cuz you are my sunshine
Even though you bring the rain
I don't care what they do
I don't care what they say
I'm gonna love you anyway

And I love you
As in more than anything
And I love you
Even when my heart's in pain
And I love you
Is there any other way
I'm gon' love you 'till my dying day

Instrument

I dreamed that I was a guitar
With my strings wound so tightly in tune
And every day a musician would come and play me
They would pluck and strum me
To every variation of rhythm in time
They would vocalize and the vibrations of their voice
Would resonate within my hollow body
They would touch my fret board with the tips of their fingers
And their fingers would dance upon the rosewood like a ballerina
And I would sing for them in a lively tempo of pitches and perfect harmony...
