I find it hard to believe such a comic would be popular with the intended audience, but who would have predicted the popularity of Resident Evil and other killing games.

i'm delighted to serve while memory serves. Laughing

speaking of memory, these are the original lyrics to a Bob Hope staple:

Thanks for the memory
Of candlelight and wine, castles on the Rhine
The Parthenon and moments on the Hudson River Line
How lovely it was!

Thanks for the memory
Of rainy afternoons, swingy Harlem tunes
And motor trips and burning lips and burning toast and prunes
How lovely it was!

Many's the time that we feasted
And many's the time that we fasted
Oh, well, it was swell while it lasted
We did have fun and no harm done

And thanks for the memory
Of sunburns at the shore, nights in Singapore
You might have been a headache but you never were a bore
So thank you so much.

Thanks for the memory
Of sentimental verse, nothing in my purse
And chuckles when the preacher said "For better or for worse"
How lovely it was

Thanks for the memory
Of lingerie with lace, Pilsner by the case
And how I jumped the day you trumped my one-and-only ace
How lovely it was!

We said goodbye with a highball
Then I got as "high" as a steeple
But we were intelligent people
No tears, no fuss, Hooray! For us

So, thanks for the memory
And strictly entre-nous, darling how are you?
And how are all the little dreams that never did come true?
Aw'flly glad I met you, cheerio, and toodle-oo
And thank you so much.

brief aside to our technical engineer:

pc keeps freezing up, and I lose responses. I just know it's Bill Gates.

Ahem. back to our broadcast:

edgar, I'm not quite certain that our audience understands your reference. Will you explain, Texas?

Yit, That's not a stroll; that's a gallop. Razz (quite unusual for turtles to gallop)

But Bob and I thank you for the memories, honey.

Good grief, Raggedy. any one with three names should definitely be married to Michael. Thanks for the id, PA.

The costumed characters are women in a society that does not appear to have women heroes. I don't know that many would buy these comics.

Ok, edgar. I understand what you're saying now. Perhaps Kandeel is trying to change all that.

For the women of the world:

Written by: Joseph McCarthy
Written by: Cy Coleman
Arranged by: Percy Faith ? Gordon Jenkins
From the Album: The Voice
Label: Columbia - Capitol
Recorded: 9/17/52 ? 3/24/59

I'm sentimental, so I walk in the rain
I've got some habits even I can't explain
Could start for the corner, turn up in Spain
But why try to change me now?

I sit and daydream, I've got daydreams galore
Cigarette ashes, there they go on the floor
I'll go away weekends, leave my keys in the door
But why try to change me now?

Why can't I be more conventional?
People talk, people stare, so I try
But that's not for me, 'cause I can't see
My kind of crazy world go passing me by

So, let people wonder, let 'em laugh, let 'em frown
You know I'll love you till the moon's upside down
Don't you remember I was always your clown?
Why try to change me now?

How's that for a walk down the well worn lane, Yit?

Well, folks. I really, REALLY want to lure Msolga back to our studios. Do you suppose that she can come and harmonize with Kate Ceberano?

For our Aussie friend:

Higher And Higher

Your love is lifting me higher
Than I've ever been lifted before
So keep it up quench my desire
And I'll be at your side forever more

Your love keeps on lifting
Lifting me higher and higher
Don't you know, your love keeps on lifting me
Lifting me higher and higher

Now once I was down hearted
Disappointment was my closest friend
Then you came, it soon departed
And I never saw his face again

That is why your love keeps lifting me
You're lifting me higher and higher
I said your love keeps lifting me higher and higher
Don't you know
You are my light, you are my love
You are my……
And you are so weaker
Don't you know your love

I'm so glad I finally found you
You are one in a million men
And now with my loving arms around you
I can stand up and face this world again

That is why your love keeps on lifting me
(Love keeps lifting me)
You're lifting me higher and higher
Don't you know your love
(Love keeps lifting me)
(Love keeps lifting me)
You just keep on lifting me higher and higher

I said your love
Lifting me higher and higher
Don't you know
Your love it keeps lifting me higher
(ad lib to the end)

.......and here's a song for all of you who haven't had to endure a Mother in Law's birthday dinner today, and make a 200 mile round trip for the privilege thereof.

Small Faces

LAZY SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

Wouldn't it be nice to get on wiv me neighbours( da da da do)
But they make it very clear they've got no room for ravers

They stop me from groovin, they bang on me wall
They're doin me crust in it's no good at all,

Lazy sunday afternoon, I've got no mind to worry, close my eyes and
Drift away, Close my eyes and drift away.

Here we all are sittin in a rainbow(da da da do)
Cor blimey hallo missus Jones hows your Berts lumbago?
I'll sing you a song with no words and no tune
I'll sing at your party while you suss out the moon, oh yeah

Lazy sunday afternoon, I got no mind to worry,
Close my eyes and drift away, Close my eyes and drift away,
Close my eyes and drift away

Aroo de de de do
Aroo de de de dido

Theres no one to see me theres nothin to say,
And no one can stop me from feelin this way

Lazy sunday afternoon I've got no mind to worry
Close my eyes and drift away
Close my eyes and drit away
close my eyes and drift away..................................

Leaning on a lamp post, having had no milk today, I'd like to join Herman's Hermits with

The worst person I know Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law
She worries me so Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law
If she leaves us alone we would have a happy home
Sent from down below Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law
Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law

I come home with my pay Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law
She asks me what I make Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law
She thinks her advice is a contribution but
if she will leave that will be the solution
and don`t come back no more Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law
Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law

Sin should be her name Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law
To me there about the same Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law
Every time I open my mouth She steps in and tries to put me out
How could she stoop so low Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law
Mother-In-Law Mother-In-Law

Well, hello, Ellpus. <smile> now we are left to imagine what Pyecost is.

Ah, cockney Brit, that was a wonderful song, and to drive 100 miles (kilo's) on the wrong side of the highway just to celebrate your Mother-in-law's birthday is quite a feat. Thanks, buddy.

Ah, Walter. I'm leaning on the lamp post of your heart. (I swear, that's a song, I think)

Poor mother's- in- law. They get a bad rap sometimes.

Don't we love it, folks, when we see our continental friends here in our studio?

I have no songs to contribute at the present time.

I am content to just sit in the corner and listen for now.
