@eurocelticyankee,
Ah, my Irish friend, welcome back and thanks for your comment.

Brian Deady was great. More synchronicity, because today is Alan Shepherds birthday.

JFK does a tribute to him. (we'll never know who killed him)

Good Wodin's day from a very chilly radio station here in Florida.

Latin George, I love Blues in the Night by Sarah
edgar. didn't know that one by Leonard. Good one, Texas.

Izz with a y Julius Caesar was one of my favorites by Shakespeare. Thanks for that quote.

Two songs for the morning here. First, one that will surprise edgar.

Now, a birthday girl

Leave Her to Heaven was a surprise:

The film's title is drawn from William Shakespeare's Hamlet. In Act I, Scene V, the Ghost urges Hamlet not to seek vengeance against Queen Gertrude, but rather to "leave her to heaven, and to those thorns that in her bosom lodge to prick and sting her."

Eddy Mitchell is a bit of a joke in that -- like Johnny Hallyday -- he started as a record company erzat for American rock n' roll fare, singing covers of US songs and the likes. But he was a great actor and TV anchor, and he also did a few enjoyable ballads and boogies, such as this one:

(a priest says in his sermon: "No boogie woogie before your evening prayers / Love is now a mortal sin / Don't provoke your eternal father")

@Letty,
Afternoon Miss Letty, folks.

Never thought i'd see Val Kilmer play Mark Twain, there you are.
Lovely tribute to the lovely Gene.

It's a real funereal day here today, a blazing fire needed.
I'll give you a laugh.

@eurocelticyankee,
Good to see you here again, euro. Thanks for your comment, dear friend.

That funeral clip was funny, but When I Need You was really good.

I've decided that Turner Classic Movies are the best yet. Last evening I watched Casablanca.

Here is a clip from that fantastic movie:

Ah, I missed our Frenchman's Boogie Woogie man. Great Mon Ami. Bet you know the French National Anthem.

euro, Deep Forest's Sweet Lullaby was fantastic. Loved it.

Another birthday gal, but first some info.
