@ossobuco,
That's it for catching up today (still pages back) because I want to keep Ike and Tina in my head. Make me shimmy around the house, at least in my mind.

Today's offering from the Bard of Avon.

The royal tree hath left us royal fruit,
Which, mellow'd by the stealing hours of time,
Will well become the seat of majesty,
And make , no doubt us happy by his reign.

Richard III Act III Sc VII

And a couple of birthdays. Dicky Appleby and Dicky Lyndhurst.

Happy Birthday to a pair of Dicks.

Good morning from our Florida radio station.

Olivier 5 Love every thing that you play here, mon ami. Always good to see Latin George with us as well. Osso/jo as you know I always enjoy your comments.

Vonny, loved your songs and comments as well.

izz with a y, Your funny comment on the two Richards made me smile.

Love Sunny Side of the Street, Druid, Mass. Razz

Always enjoy our edgar's comments too. Wish I could comment on each song, but as Perry would say: "It's Impossible".

Once again, we do NOT use the rating system here as it does not fit the format of our radio station.

Two birthday guys for today:

First, dear Tom:

It's high noon here, edgar. Love Didley doing Road Runner.

Two songs for the time here in Florida.

First, Ray Charles:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7C0ca55mgFM

Now, George Shearing doing a tribute to Don McLean.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3O3pGKUYUw

Part of the lyrics, y'all.

I heard he sang a good song, I heard he had a style
And so I came to see him to listen for a while
And there he was this young boy, a stranger to my eyes

Strumming my pain with his fingers, singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song, killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words, killing me softly with his song.

Hey Latin George. The Shearing guy did that one for you. Razz

and my quote for the day:

Matthew Henry:
There are none so blind as those who will not see.

Rider" (1957) and "What Am I Living For" (1958), both reached No.1 on the Billboard R&B chart. He was known as The King of the Stroll for his performance of the 1950s dance the Stroll.
