Good chilly morning from our radio station here in Florida.

Today is this guy's birthday, but first some info:
Adam Ant? Razz

Adam Ant (born Stuart Leslie Goddard, on 3 November 1954, in Marylebone, London) is an English musician who gained popularity as the lead singer of post-punk group Adam and the Ants and later as a solo artist, scoring 10 UK top ten hits from 1980 to 1983, including three No. 1s. He has also worked as an actor, appearing in over two dozen films and television episodes from 1985 to 2003.

Now, the tribute:

edgar, Liked that one by Leonard.

Latin George, That did wake me up. Thanks, buddy.

Well, y'all, hoped you like the ants. If they're red we're in trouble.

Well, I live in the palms but it's like the pines here.

Today's quotations.

No profit grows where is no treasure ta'en

Taming Of The Shrew Act I Sc I
Then not let winter's ragged hand deface.
In thee thy summer.

@izzythepush,
Love that quote, push man, but you sent me searching again.

The term "shrew" was pretty common in Elizabethan England and it was applied to just about any woman who stepped outside of her prescribed social role.

Now, the movie trailer.

Once again calling all musicians, painters, music lovers poets and chatters.

Today is this poet's birthday and here is a short one by him:

Stephen Crane

A man said to the universe:
"Sir I exist!"
"However," replied the universe,
"The fact has not created in me
A sense of obligation."

@edgarblythe,
Hey, Texas, I love Joan doing North. The north wind is blowing here, buddy, and yours reminded me of Johnny Horton.

Just an observation about John. The only movie that he won an academy award for was True Grit. He said that he should have worn that eye patch all the time.

I recall in the book, Matty Ross saying:

I will not put a thief in mouth to steal my brains away.

Going to say good late afternoon with two songs. Edgar and I both know that it came from The Uninvited. I saw the remake.

First the instrumental.

Good to have my favorite Brit with us today. Maybe tomorrow France and Ireland. Glad to know that McTag is alright, just busy.

Alain Souchon - Rive Gauche
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhYRIbGVNl0

Les chansons de Prévert
Me reviennent
De tous les souffleurs de verre-
-Laine
Du vieux Ferré, les cris
La tempête
Boris Vian, ça s'écrit
A la trompette

Rive gauche à Paris
Adieu mon pays
De musique et de poésie
Les marchands malappris
Qui ailleurs ont déjà tout pris
Viennent vendre leurs habits en librairie
En librairie

Si tendre soit la nuit
Elle passe
ô ma Zelda, c'est fini
Montparnasse

Venez voir
On dirait Jane et Serge
Sur le Pont des Arts

Rive gauche à Paris
Adieu mon pays
Adieu le jazz, adieu la nuit
Un état dans l'état d'esprit
Traité par le mépris
Comme le Québec par les Etats-Unis
Comme nous aussi
Ah, le mépris
Ah, le mépris

Morning all, today's quotation.

Thrice is he armed that hath his quarrel just;
And he but naked, though lock'd up in steel.
whose conscience with injustice is corrupted.

Henry VI Part 2 Act III Sc II.
