It worked this time, folks.

edgar, Thanks for your comment on the skeletons and that lovely classical by Listz. Loved your Billy Williams song, and Roy Hamilton doing I'll get by was a wonderful memory song, Texas.

Hope our listeners enjoyed "the boss" doing that lovely song, too.

Here's the request from my daughter:

Remember, one doesn't have to be a theist to enjoy hymns.

Ah, a wonderful memory jog, y'all. So long ago I played this on the radio and I didn't know Alice Cooper, and I said: Alice?

smorgs laughed via PM and we did a great toast to Sarah.

This is a bit long, but funny.

and here's our poem for today:

October
By Robert Frost
O hushed October morning mild,
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow’s wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
The crows above the forest call;
Tomorrow they may form and go.
O hushed October morning mild,
Begin the hours of this day slow.
Make the day seem to us less brief.
Hearts not averse to being beguiled,
Beguile us in the way you know.
Release one leaf at break of day;
At noon release another leaf;
One from our trees, one far away.
Retard the sun with gentle mist;
Enchant the land with amethyst.
Slow, slow!
For the grapes’ sake, if they were all,
Whose leaves already are burnt with frost,
Whose clustered fruit must else be lost—
For the grapes’ sake along the wall.

Robert Frost - I just discovered a collection of his poetry among some books I had not gone through in a while. Great poet.

@edgarblythe,
Ah, Glenn doing that Serenade: "at last my love has come along."

Love it, Texas, and thanks for your comment on the Frost man.

Well, it's Wodin's day so I guess i had better say a late good afternoon before I get hammered.

Two songs for the day now first, This lovely lady playing Chopin's serenade. Here is some info on her:

Born in Hong Kong, 17-year-old pianist Tiffany Poon (潘活活) is widely praised as one of the world’s best young talents. Her unique musical talent was soon discovered when she began playing piano at the age of 4. Two years later, she started giving public recitals and winning competitions. At age 8, she was accepted into the Juilliard School Pre-College Division on a full scholarship.

Now, her performance.
