That one by Ray was at the height of his abilities, in my less than humble opinion.

Wow! I overslept, y'all. It's still morning in our Florida radio station however.

As edgar knows, I like all of "gentleman Jim's" songs. Love those, buddy.

Latin George, I loved both your Al Vance songs, and the French one reminded me o this.

Birds sometimes
the fields still over there
words go away come back
touch he holds out his hand
and puts them down softly
side by side
they say simple things
like music
the water is calm
a bird’s shadow surprises
the days are long
as once they were

After a moment of extreme simplicity
hope is no longer needed

If I've done this onee before, it's worth doing again, because friends are important.

Now, a funny animal one. It reminds me of me.

@edgarblythe,
Hey, Texas. Hope you liked my Sloth song. Amazing song by someone that I don't know. Thanks for the memory, dear friend. My favorite line is "you're a pal and a confidant."

Today is "the velvet fog's " birthday.

Love this one by him, y'all.

Once again, calling all poets, musicians, painters, music lovers.

Thinking of my friend Bernice(phoenix) today, and she loved this song:

Among the 70s artists who graced my childhood, there is a special place for Dave, a very gay (in all senses) Dutch singer who had and still has a pretty voice and a pretty face. He first sang in a French adaptation of Jesus superstar or something. Then he did rather cheesy tunes, never found a good song writer really... But the tunes were always very bouncy and happy so it kinda worked. He did this for instance:

He's making a smooth come back on TV and on disk racks, has his own music show and all. He did this new version of one of his old success:
